In January 2012 RNTC launched the RNTC Fellowship Fund to support journalists, programme-makers, broadcast trainers and managers from around the world who are looking to develop their media skills, but do not have enough financial means to pay for the costs of the course of their choice.
The fellowships are available for the following courses:

Multimedia Journalism and Water
RNTC Fellowships cover the course fee (up to 50%), not the costs for travel and accommodation. The number of fellowships that RNTC can provide, however, is small.

The scholarships will be awarded on academic and professional merit. When applying for the course, applicants must submit:
- Letter of motivation (150-200 words), explaining why they think they qualify for one of these scholarships
- Completed registration form
- Curriculum vitae
- Proof of proficiency in English
- A statement from a sponsor or a bank demonstrating your ability to cover the rest of the costs associated with the course
