Master study Grants for international students at university of Italian Switzerland are offered in Economics, Communication Sciences and Informatics. The Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of 4’000 CHF each. University of Newcastle scholarships

Research higher degree scholarships are available to support candidates who have an excellent academic record to undertake their research program on a full time basis. There is one main scholarship round each year where scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit including undergraduate grade point average and extra research attainments.

Up to three of the highest ranked domestic applicants will receive a "Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for Outstanding Candidates". They will receive an additional $10,000 per annum on top of the living allowance.

What does the scholarship offer?

• The 2013 full-time rate provides a living allowance of $24,653 per annum
• Most international scholarships also cover tuition fees

• Enrolling full time – part time enrolment is available in exceptional circumstances where the candidate has heavy carer requirements such as young children or an invalid parent or where the candidate has an illness that prevents them from studying full time. Part time enrolment will not be approved for scholarship holders where the reason for part time enrolment is work related. Part time scholarships are taxable.
• For current domestic students – applicants cannot have been enrolled for more than 2 full time equivalent semesters at the end of 2013 for an MPhil (unless upgrading) or more than 4 full time equivalent semesters at the end of 2013 for a PhD
• For current enrolled international students – applicants cannot be considered again if they were assessed for scholarship in a previous round
• Applicants must have provided evidence of meeting the English language proficiency level by the closing date

How does it work?

Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) at La Trobe University, Australia

La Trobe’s Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are targeted towards high achieving international students from all countries across all of La Trobe’s undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.

Who is eligible?

• citizens of countries other than Australia or New Zealand
• commencing international students wanting to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate coursework, full degrees at La Trobe in 2013
• applicants who scored a minimum of 85 per cent or equivalent in their previous degree/award
• students who meet or will meet the University’s academic and English entry requirements at the commencement date of their course (and have received an offer at the time of applying for this scholarship).

Tenure

The scholarships are non-renewable tuition fee awards of A$10 000-$20 000 paid across a maximum period of two semesters (or twelve months). Recipients of the scholarship would be required to pay for any difference in fees for their first two semesters, fees for the remainder of their course and also Overseas Student Health Cover. These scholarships are not renewable and do not cover living costs.

Continuation of the scholarship into a second semester (where relevant) is subject to satisfactory progress and continued enrolment in the program of study for which the scholarship was awarded. Maintaining a C grade average is required, and satisfactory progress will be monitored.

The King's Summer School Scholarship scheme is being launched in 2013 for students intending to study on the 2013 King’s College London Summer School.

 

What is the Summer School Scholarship?

This Summer School scholarship scheme is being launched in 2013 for students intending to study on the 2013 King’s College London Summer School.

Twelve Summer School scholarships are available to cover full tuition fees of £1,350 each. Students must have received an offer of a place on the 2013 Summer School.

 

Applications will be considered on academic merit only. Academic grades and the supporting statement will be used to make final decisions. 

The scholarships are for study on the 2013 Summer School programme and may be applied to any confirmed Summer School course (subject to availability). These are not attached to any particular course of study. Scholarship winners will be required to take part in promotional activities to promote the scholarship scheme and the Summer School.

Graduate Scholarship for International Students in Turkey

This program aims to provide scholarships for international graduate students in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities in universities of TURKEY for improving science and technology cooperation and building scientific and socio-economic bridge between Turkey and their countries.

Who can apply to this program:

1. Senior undergraduate students aiming to register a master’s program with thesis
2. MSc/MA students in Turkey, at most in the third term of the program,
3. MSc/MA students or graduated ones aiming to register a doctoral program
4. PhD students in Turkey, at most in the sixth term of the program

According to the new rules of the program:

1. In addition to PhD students, MSc/MA students will be supported.
2. ‘Getting an acceptance from a graduate program in Turkey’ is not required. Fellows can get the acceptance and start the fellowship in one year after the announcement date of the fellowship.
3. Age limit is changed as follows:
   1. Being at most 30-years-old for MSc students and
   2. 35-years-old for PhD students at the first date of the application year
4. ‘Language certificate necessary for the graduate program’ is not demanded.

Duration of Award
 
Maximum durations of the scholarship are 2 years for MSc students and 4 years for PhD students, provided that the fellow is successful in his/her studies (courses) and that the supervisor states in his/her evaluation report that the candidate is making good progress. There will not be any payment for the Language Schools.

National Society of Accountants Scholarship for International Students, USA

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

  

Eligibility

Applicants to the National Society of Accountants Scholarship Program must be:

• Undergraduates enrolled part-time or full-time in accounting at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States.
  
  1. Students in an accredited two-year college may apply following first semester grades or during their second year if transferring to a four-year institution, provided they are committed to a major in accounting throughout the remainder of their college career, or
  2. Students in an accredited four-year college may apply for the scholarship for their second, third, or fourth year of studies, provided they are committed to a major in accounting throughout the remainder of their college career.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 - $2000. The actual amount of annual scholarship stipends are determined based on available funding at the time of the awards. An average of 32 awards will be granted each year, according to local and national requirements for the program.

In addition to it its annual awards program, the NSA Scholarship Foundation provides the following special award:

The Stanley H. Stearman Award, which was established to honor retired NSA Executive Vice President Stanley H. Stearman. This award is granted annually to a relative* of a NSA Active**/Retired (living/deceased) member who is majoring in accounting. This does NOT include Student members of NSA. This member must have held membership for at least one year prior to the annual distribution of applications in October. The recipient of this award will receive a stipend in the amount of $2,000 per year, not to exceed a three-year period. This renewable award may extend through graduate studies.

Awards are for undergraduate study only and are not renewable (with exception of the Stearman award); however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Application

Interested students must complete the fill-in application, print it out and mail it along with a current, complete transcript of grades to Scholarship Management Services postmarked no later than March 10, 2013. If previously enrolled in college or vocational-technical school, applicants must include all transcripts from each school attended. Grade reports are not acceptable. Online transcripts must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course, and term in which each course was taken. Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application. If an acknowledgment card is not received within three weeks, applicants may call Scholarship Management Services to verify that the application has been received.

Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship Management Services.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship Management Services, must be demonstrated for students applying from Arizona only.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship Management Services. In no instance does any officer or employee of NSA or the NSA Scholarship Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision of Scholarship Management Services as final.

Applicants will be notified by June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship Management Services processes scholarship payments on behalf of theNational Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation. Payments are made on August 15. A check is mailed to each recipient's home address and will be made payable to the school for the student.

Obligations

Recipients have no obligation to theNational Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation. They are, however, required to notify Scholarship Management Services of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information and to send a complete transcript when requested.

Revisions

The National Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time within the parameters of its 501(c) 3 IRS approved status.

International Undergraduate Scholarship at University of St Andrews, UK

These entrant scholarships are for international students who will be studying at St Andrews for an undergraduate degree starting in 2013. The scholarships will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction of up to £4,000 per year for each year of the student's undergraduate studies and will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
