The International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) invites qualified students with excellent academic achievements and active in co-curricular activities to apply for the Shari'ah Scholarship Award (SA) to pursue their higher education at either local or overseas universities. The Shari'ah Scholarship Award is part of the Fund for Shari'ah Scholars in Islamic Finance, which was established to enhance knowledge, research, talents, and intellectual discourse in the field of Shari'ah. The Fund represents Bank Negara Malaysia's commitment to strengthen the development of the Islamic financial industry.

FIELD OF STUDY

1. Postgraduate (Master or Doctorate) in Shariah or Islamic finance studies at recognized institutions of higher learning; 
2. Undergraduate studies at recognized institutions of higher learning in the field of Shari'ah with a double degree or a minor in one of the following disciplines: 
   • Islamic banking; 
   • Conventional banking; 
   • Accounting; 
   • Law; 
   • Economics; 
   • Finance; 
   • Management; or
   • other related fields appropriate to the development of the Islamic financial industry. 
3. CIFP, only for those with Shariah background.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicant from Shariah background.
2. The scholarship is open to citizens of all countries. 
3. Applicants have to secured admission at a recognized institution of higher learning. Applicants are required to pursue either a Bachelor, CIFP , Master or Doctorate programme, as defined above, in a fulltime programme. 
4. For a postgraduate application, applicants are required to have a CGPA of at least 3.5 or its equivalent. 
5. For an undergraduate application, applicants are required to have a CGPA of at least 3.3 or its equivalent (for the first semester result). 
6. Current students enrolled in the programmes specified above may also apply for the scholarship. 
7. Applicants should not be in receipt of any other scholarship award.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarships at University of Canberra, Australia

The University of Canberra offers higher degree by research scholarships to enable suitably qualified students to undertake full-time study towards a research higher degree. Selection is based on academic merit and research potential. These scholarships are tenable for up to three years for a doctorate by research or up to two years for a masters by research. Applicants must indicate they wish to study full time to ensure they are assessed as eligible.

Eligibility for Scholarship

Scholarships are only available to PhD candidates who are eligible for accelerated entry.

Candidates will need to be Honours 1 or equivalent.

To be eligible, candidates need to have consumed no more than 2.5 EFTSL (or completed up to maximum of 2.5 years Full Time Equivalent (FTE) study in an Australian research degree) in the semester in which they are applying. Those who have consumed 2.5 EFTSL or more in that semester (or been studying for more that 2.5 years (FTE)) are not eligible for a University of Canberra Scholarship.

• Only complete applications that include all research scholarships forms with supporting documentation will be considered.
• The University of Canberra's Scholarships are limited and therefore scholarships are awarded to applicants with the strongest academic background and the potential to carry out the highest quality research.

Beasiswa S1,S2, dan S3 Kementerian Kesehatan

Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) membuka kesempatan tugas belajar dalam negeri untuk program S-1, S-2, dan S-3 bagi pegawai negeri sipil (PNS) SDM Kesehatan tahun 2013.

Dalam surat edaran yang ditandatangani Kepala Badan PPSDM Kesehatan, dr Untung Suseno Sutarjo tanggal 28 Mei itu disebutkan, program studi yang diikuti pada Pendidikan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) yang terakreditasi minimal “B”, dan apabila Program Studi dan Peminatan yang dibutuhkan tidak terdapat di PTN, maka calon peserta dapat mengikuti seleksi  akademik di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) yang terakreditasi minimal “B” dari  lembaga yang berwenang.

Dalam SE itu disebutkan, bagi PNS yang menduduki jabatan struktural diberhentikan dari jabatannya, dan bagi PNS yang menduduki jabatan fungsional akan dibebaskan sementara dari jabatannya. Selain itu, PNS calon peserta tidak sedang menjalani hukuman disiplin tingkat sedang atau berat, dan tidak sedang melaksanakan pendidikan dan pelatihan penjenjangan.

Adapun jangka waktu pelaksanaan pendidikan adalah:

a. Program Strata I (S-1) paling lama 4 (empat) tahun; 

b. Program Strata II (S-2) paling lama 2 (dua) tahun; 

c. Program Strata III (S-3) paling lama 4 (empat) tahun;

Sedang Komponen bantuan beasiswa pendidikan bagi peserta tugas belajar SDM meliputi:

a. Bantuan Biaya Hidup dan Operasional; 

b. Uang Buku dan Referensi; 

c. Biaya Untuk Pendidikan terdiri dari SPP, Matrikulasi dan Praktek (dibuktikan dengan SK Rektor);

d. Biaya Riset secara at cost dengan melampirkan TOR/Proposal yang sudah  disahkan oleh Dosen pembimbing, RAB dan Surat Pernyataan Tanggung Jawab  Mutlak (SPTJM);

e. Transport keberangkatan dan kepulangan secara at cost dan uang harian.

Jenis pendanaan yang ditanggung oleh Kementerian Kesehatan selama tugas belajar meliputi:

a. Biaya penuh, diberikan selama peserta tubel mengikuti proses pendidikan sejak  semester awal hingga akhir, sesuai dengan batas masa studi maksimal;

b. Biaya parsial, diberikan kepada mereka yang sedang mengikuti proses  pendidikan (maksimal semester III bulan September 2013) dan belum  memperoleh dana. Dana tubel yang diberikan adalah dana lanjutan selama  peserta tugas belajar masih dalam proses belajar mengajar yang dibuktikan  dengan surat keterangan dari Institusi Pendidikan, dan bagi peserta yang  diusulkan maka semua ketentuan tetap mengacu dalam Surat Edaran ini. 

“Peserta yang mengikuti pendidikan tahun 2013 sudah dalam penyusunan  skripsi/thesis tidak diberikan bantuan beasiswa,” bunyi Surat Edaran itu.

Persyaratan

Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) yang akan mengikuti tugas belajar SDM Kesehatan harus memenuhi persyaratan sebagai berikut :

1. Program Studi/Peminatan yang diambil, sesuai dengan lampiran 1;

2. Untuk Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi/Kabupaten/Kota, Program Studi/Peminatan yang  diambil dapat menyesuaikan dengan peminatan sesuai kebutuhan Unit Pusat;

3. Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) Pusat dan Daerah;

4. Mendapatkan ijin tertulis/surat tugas dari atasan langsung untuk mengikuti seleksi  administrasi dan seleksi akademik;

5. Masa kerja paling kurang 1 (satu) tahun terhitung sejak diangkat sebagai PNS;

6. Program studi/peminatan yang akan ditempuh harus mempunyai hubungan atau  sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi;

7. Usia maksimal dihitung pada saat seleksi administrasi di Pusat :

a. Program Strata I (S-1) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 25 (dua puluh lima)  tahun;

b. Program Strata II (S-2) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 37 (tiga puluh tujuh)  tahun;

c. Program Strata III (S-3) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 40 (empat puluh) tahun;

8. Untuk daerah terpencil, tertinggal, dan terluar atau jabatan sangat diperlukan (Dosen, Peneliti dan Widyaiswara), usia maksimal dihitung pada saat seleksi  administrasi di Pusat :

a. Program Strata I (S-1) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 37 (tiga puluh tujuh)  tahun;

b. Program Strata II (S-2) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 42 (empat puluh dua  tahun) tahun;

c. Program Strata III (S-3) atau setara berusia paling tinggi 47(empat puluh tujuh)  tahun;

9. Program studi yang diikuti pada Pendidikan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) yang  terakreditasi minimal “B”, dan apabila Program Studi dan Peminatan yang  dibutuhkan tidak terdapat di PTN, maka calon peserta dapat mengikuti seleksi  akademik di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) yang terakreditasi minimal “B” dari  lembaga yang berwenang;

10. Bagi PNS yang menduduki jabatan struktural diberhentikan dari jabatannya;

11. Bagi PNS yang menduduki jabatan fungsional dibebaskan sementara dari  jabatannya;

12. Setiap unsur penilaian pelaksanaan pekerjaan dalam 1 (satu) tahun terakhir paling  kurang bernilai baik;

13. Tidak sedang menjalani hukuman disiplin tingkat sedang atau berat;

14. Tidak sedang melaksanakan pendidikan dan pelatihan penjenjangan;

15. Jangka waktu pelaksanaan pendidikan :

a. Program Strata I (S-1) paling lama 4 (empat) tahun; 

b. Program Strata II (S-2) paling lama 2 (dua) tahun; 

c. Program Strata III (S-3) paling lama 4 (empat) tahun;

16. Jangka waktu pelaksanaan tugas belajar sebagaimana dimaksud pada angka 15,  masing-masing dapat diperpanjang paling lama 1 tahun (2 semester) atas persetujuan sponsor dan/atau instansi. 

17. Bagi PNS yang belum dapat menyelesaikan tugas belajar setelah diberikan  perpanjangan waktu 1 tahun sebagaimana dimaksud pada angka 16, dapat  diberikan perpanjangan kembali paling lama 1 (satu) tahun, dengan perubahan  status menjadi izin belajar dan tetap dapat meninggalkan tugasnya sebagaimana  berlaku bagi tugas belajar.

18. Jangka waktu pemberian bantuan beasiswa adalah selama jangka waktu  pelaksanaan pendidikan sebagaimana dimaksud pada angka 15.

19. Bagi calon peserta telah mengabdikan diri minimal 3 (tiga) tahun, khusus dosen  minimal 1 (satu) tahun setelah lulus pendidikan terakhir;

KAAD Scholarships for Developing Countries’ Students, Germany

The KAAD Scholarship Program 1 is addressed to post-graduates and to academics who already gained professional experience and who are interested in postgraduate studies (or research stays) in Germany. This program is administered by regional partner committees, staffed by university professors and church representatives. Normally documents are submitted to the committee of the applicant’s home country.

Who can apply?
For the scholarship programme 1 of KAAD you can apply if you:

• come from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East or Latin America
• have a university degree and professional experience from your home country
• want to acquire a master's degree or a PhD at a German university or do a post-doctoral research project (2-6 months for established university lecturers) at a German university
• are a Catholic Christian (or general belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their commitment to interreligious dialogue
• possess German language skills before starting the studies (KAAD can provide a language course of max. 6 months in Germany).

What does KAAD expect from you?

• Above-average performance in studies and research
• The orientation of your studies or research towards permanent reintegration in your home region (otherwise the scholarship is turned into a loan),
• Religious and social commitment (activities) and willingness to inter-religious dialogue.

KAAD is working with focus- and partner countries in your region. There are so-called Partner Committees in these countries and applications are channelled via them. Applications from other countries can be considered only in exceptional cases.

Master and PhD Scholarships in Islamic Finance, Malaysia

The Shariah Scholarship Award is part of the Fund for Shariah Scholars in Islamic Finance, which was established to enhance knowledge, research, talents, and intellectual discourse in the field of Shariah. The Scholarship is aimed at enlarging the pool of Shariah scholars who are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and competencies in both Shariah and Islamic finance.
The Scholarship is available to qualified candidates pursuing the following:

• Post-graduate (Masters or Doctorate) study at recognised institutions of higher learning in the field of Shariah, specializing in fiqh muamalat; OR
  
• Certified Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) programme conducted by the International Centre for Education is Islamic Finance (INCEIF). [More information about CIFP at INCEIF.org]
  

Eligibility

• The Scholarship is open to citizens of all countries.
  
• Applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree in Shariah studies from a recognised institution of higher learning, achieving at least a Second Class Upper or its equivalent.
  

  For the CIFP Scholarship, a special consideration will be accorded to those with a diploma (or its equivalent) in Shariah studies, but they must have at least 5 years working experience in the financial industry.
  

• Applicants are also expected to have secured admission to EITHER a Masters or Doctorate programme in Shariah, specializing in fiqh muamalat, at a recognised institution of higher learning, in a full-time programme, OR the CIFP programme conducted by INCEIF.
  
• Current students enrolling in the specified programmes at recognised institutions of higher learning may also apply for the scholarship.
  
• Applicants should not be in receipt of any other scholarship awards.
  

Award Package

Post-Graduate Scholarship
The Post-Graduate Scholarship will cover the approved tuition and examination fees, and the recipient will be provided a quarterly subsistence allowance.
Where and when applicable, other allowances such as for books and equipment, approved return air fare, warm clothing, relocation, end of study and thesis/dissertation completion, will also be provided.
 
CIFP Scholarship
The CIFP Scholarship will cover the registration and approved examination fees. In addition, the recipient will also be paid a study allowance.
Special Note: There is no employment bond attached to either scholarships.

PhD Scholarship for International Students in New Zealand

The Scholarship was established in 2011 and is funded by Comvita.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to broaden and deepen relationships with preeminent Universities in China and further develop a partnership around the areas of conservation, rehabilitation and sustainability by funding a student from Qinghai University to study for a PhD in sustainability and conservation at The University of Auckland.

Selection process:

• The Scholarship will be awarded to a graduate from one of the universities in the Three Brothers Plus Agreement (namely Qinghai University or Tsinghua University or the Chinese Academy of Sciences) who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a PhD in the School of Environment, the School of Biological Sciences, the School of Chemical Sciences or the Department of Physics at The University of Auckland, to conduct research in the area of environmental sustainability and conservation.
• The basis of selection will be academic merit (measured by the grade point equivalence assessed over the applicant's two most recent years of full-time study or equivalent), quality of research proposal, endorsement by the proposed supervisor and host academic unit, and alignment with the faculty's strategic plan. • The scholarship is tenable by international students.

Decision makers
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Science (or nominee), an academic representative from within the area the prospective student wishes to study at The University of Auckland, a representative from the International Office at Qinghai University and one representative of the Donor (appointed by sponsors or trustees).

How and when do students learn of the decision?
Approximately six weeks after closing date by letter.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
Under the domestic PhD fees policy for international students, it is a requirement that doctoral students must be primarily resident in New Zealand and may not reside outside of New Zealand for more than twelve months in total, over the tenure of the doctoral degree.

Additional Information

• Note ii) Students should also be future leaders, have interests outside strict academic performance such as community work, sport and the arts with a desire to become involved in life at the University and in New Zealand. The recipient would also be expected to undertake a programme that links to the local Chinese community in Auckland, for example, a series of presentations or workshops on the work they are doing at the university.

Hanya akan ada satu  batch  untuk program beasiswa PhD selama proyek PWD dalam 5 tahun. Pendaftaran dimulai pada tahun akademik 2013/2014 dan akan  menawarkan  empat  paket beasiswa. Setiap tahun, pemerintah Australia menganugerahkan beasiswa pascasarjana untuk pelajar internasional. Beasiswa diberikan bagi para mahasiswa S-2 dan S-3 dari berbagai bidang studi yang diambil di perguruan tinggi Australia.

Beasiswa meliputi bantuan finansial hingga dua tahun masa studi magister dan maksimal empat tahun untuk jenjang doktoral. Penerima beasiswa harus memulai pendidikannya setelah 1 Januari 2014 dan sebelum 30 November 2014.

Khusus bagi Top 20 penerima beasiswa jenjang S-3, 10 di antaranya, yakni yang berasal dari kawasan Asia berkesempatan mengikuti program beasiswa pascasarjana dari Perdana Menteri Australia dan berbagai manfaat tambahan. Deadline pendaftaran adalah 30 Juni 2013.

Pelamar haruslah berusia minimal 18 tahun dan tidak ada batasan usia maksimal. Selain itu, pelamar juga harus sudah mengantongi ijazah sarjana (minimal) dengan rekam akademik yang gemilang serta diterima pada program pascasarjana (S-2 maupun S-3) untuk tahun ajaran 2014 di perguruan tinggi Australia.

Jika beruntung, penerima beasiswa akan mendapatkan biaya transportasi senilai USD4.500, biaya awal ketika sampai di Australia USD4.000, biaya hidup USD2.500 per bulan. Scholars juga akan menerima USD12.500 per semester untuk biaya studi.

Benefit lainnya adalah asuransi kesehatan untuk pelajar internasional (OSHC). Semua fasilitas itu akan diberikan selama maksimal dua tahun masa studi S-2 dan empat tahun masa studi S-4. Total, sekira USD118.500 akan diberikan bagi mahasiswa jenjang magister dan USD228.500 untuk mahasiswa jenjang doktoral.

The top twenty (20) recipients of the Endeavour Postgraduate Award (PhD only), from the ten eligible Asian countries and regions listed below, will be offered the Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Award and its additional benefits. 

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Incoming postgraduate Award provides financial support for international students for a maximum of four (4) years to undertake a postgraduate qualification at PhD level in any field of study in Australia. Award holders will also have the opportunity to undertake an optional internship in Australia for up to 12 months (minimum of 2 months) at the completion of their study program.

Citizens and/or Permanent Residents of India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Singapore, The People’s Republic of China (including Hong Kong, and Macau SAR’s), Taiwan, Thailand and Viet Nam are eligible for this Award.

300 Beasiswa S-2 & S-3 ke Prancis Menunggu!

Tahun ini, Institut Prancis di Indonesia atau  Institut Français d’Indonésie (IFI) memberikan 300 beasiswa bagi pelajar Indonesia yang ingin melanjutkan studi S-2 dan S-3. Program beasiswa gabungan ini didanai oleh berbagai kementerian Republik Indonesia, perusahaan Prancis di Indonesia dan yayasan swasta.

Jika terpilih, penyandang status Penerima Beasiswa Pemerintah Prancis (BGF) akan mendapatkan beasiswa penuh termasuk fasilitas visa bebas biaya, jaminan sosial dan pembebasan biaya kuliah di salah satu universitas negeri untuk mata kuliah yang diajarkan dalam bahasa Prancis. Asyiknya lagi, beasiswa dari pemerintah Indonesia akan memberi tambahan biaya hidup dan tiket pesawat ke dan dari Prancis.

Ada beberapa skema studi yang bisa dipilih. Pertama, studi master dapat ditempuh dengan pola Master 1 di

Perlu diingat, syarat utama menjadi mahasiswa di Prancis adalah penguasaan bahasa Prancis di level DELF B2. Mereka yang menguasai bahasa Prancis di level DELF B1 boleh mengikuti pendidikan dalam bidang sains. Tapi jangan khawatir, akan ada kelas intensif bagi para kandidat terpilih. Kelas ini akan dihelat pada April hingga September di pusat-pusat pelatihan IFI di Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya dan Medan.

1. Ditjen Dikti Kemendikbud

Indonesia dan kursus bahasa Prancis, serta Master 2 di Prancis; atau menempuh Master 1 dan Master 2 di Prancis. Kemudian, untuk program doktorat, skema pendidikan, baik di Prancis maupun Indonesia, akan ditentukan berdasarkan subjek disertasi dan para dosen pembimbing.

Sekira 60 beasiswa akan diberikan kepada para dosen Indonesia atau calon dosen yang ingin melanjukan pendidikan ke jenjang master atau doktorat.

2. Kemendikbud

Melalui program Beasiswa Unggulan, Kemendikbud akan memberikan sekira 100 beasiswa kepada mahasiswa Indonesia yang ingin melanjukan pendidikan ke jenjang master atau doktorat.

3. Badan Perencanaan dan Pembangunan Nasional – Bappenas

Bappenas akan memberikan lima beasiswa bagi mahasiswa Indonesia yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang master

4. Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan – Program INDESO

Sepuluh beasiswa tersedia untuk pegawai Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang master atau doktorat. Seleksi dilakukan oleh Kementerian

5. Provinsi Papua

Lima mahasiswa Papua terpilih akan mendapatkan beasiswa S-2 di Prancis. Mereka juga akan diikutsertakan dalam kursus intensif bahasa Prancis selama satu tahun hingga mendapatkan ijazah kemampuan berbahasa Prancis (DELF) tingkat B2. Seleksi dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Papua

6. Perusahaan Total

Dua beasiswa magister akan diberikan kepada mahasiswa Indonesia

Pendaftaran dapat dilakukan di situs Ditjen Dikti Kemendikbud atau di Bagian Hubungan Internasional universitas-universitas rekanan IFI yakni Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), dan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

7. Perusahaan GDF Suez

Satu mahasiswa terpilih akan mendapatkan kesempatan menempuh studi S-2 gratis di Prancis selama 16 bulan. Beasiswa akan diberikan di bidang Master Pengembangan dan Eksploitasi Pertambagan di IFP School.

Informasi pendaftaran bisa diketahui dari situs IFP School. Pelamar juga harus mengirimkan dokumen permohonan beasiswa ke Institut Prancis di Indonesia.

8. Perusahaan CLS-Argos – Programma Indeso

Program ini khusus untuk pegawai Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang magister (S-2) atau doktorat (S-3). Ada sepuluh beasiswa yang disediakan, dan seleksi akan dilakukan oleh kementerian.


Selain skema beasiswa di atas, IFI juga tengah mengembangkan berbagai program beasiswa dengan kementerian lain dan yayasan swasta. Sedangkan program spesifik dari IFI adalah Indoart; yakni program pelatihan jangka pendek untuk bidang seni. Seleksi dilakukan oleh IFI.

Ada juga beasiswa Bourse Eiffel yang ditujukan untuk program S-2 atau S-3 dalam bidang sains, ekonomi/manajemen dan hukum/ilmu politik. Program ini dijalankan oleh EPIC Campus France. Satu beasiswa lagi adalah Erasmus Mundus, yakni beasiswa S-2 dan S-3 multilateral dan program-program kerjasama yang spesifik. Program ini dijalankan oleh Persatuan Eropa.

Beasiswa S2, S3 IPRS dari Pemerintah Australia

Pemerintah Australia melalui Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) menawarkan program beasiswa bernama International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS). Beasiswa ini memberikan kesempatan kepada kandidat internasional, kecuali Australia dan Selandia Baru, untuk studi pascasarjana dan melakukan riset di universitas-universitas di Negeri Kangguru tersebut.

Tiap tahunnya, ada 330 beasiswa yang ditawarkan, meliputi jenjang S-2 dan S-3. Beasiswa ini meliputi biaya

kuliah pascasarjana, tunjangan hidup, dan biaya kesehatan.

Syaratnya disesuaikan dengan setiap universitas yang dituju oleh kandidat. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk terlebih dahulu mendapatkan informasi dari universitas-universitas yang dituju yang terdaftar dalam Higher Education Providers (HEPs) di Australia.

Beasiswa S1, S2, S3 Mizan

Dalam rangkaian ulang tahun Mizan ke-30 ini, Mizan kembali meluncurkan program Beasiswa Mizan. Program ini telah menjadi tradisi lama Mizan. Namun dalam beberapa tahun terakhir sempat vakum. Pada era 90-an, beasiswa Mizan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri para mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Mereka berlomba untuk mendapatkan beasiswa ini karena sedikitnya tiga alasan. Pertama, tugas akhir mereka berkesempatan dinilai oleh penerbit dan dewan juri. Kedua, mereka akan mendapat dana bantuan penelitian, dan yang terakhir, karya tulis mereka berkesempatan untuk diterbitkan. Ada kesan umum bahwa yang mendapat beasiswa mizan, pastilah skripsinya berbobot.

Seperti sejarah Mizan yang dilatarbelangi oleh semangat berpikir dan berkarya di kalangan mahasiwa, Mizan

telah menaruh perhatian besar untuk mendorong gairah menghasilkan karya tulis berkualitas di kalangan kampus, salah satu carnya adalah dengan memberikan beasiswa.

Mizan percaya program beasiswa ini bisa menjadi pemantik munculnya, atau ditemukannya karya-karya genuine di kalangan mahasiswa. Mudah-mudahan dari beasiswa ini akan muncul Cak Nur, Amien Rais, Jalaludin Rakhmat, dan Amien Abdullah baru. Nama-nama yang saya sebutkan tadi sempat menjadi monumen kebangkitan intelektual islam indonesia yang dalam seri buku Mizan Khazanah Intelektual Muslim Indonesia pada tahun 80 dan 90-an.

-     Beasiswa ini akan diberikan kepada tiga kategori: S1 sebesar 18 juta, S2 sebesar 24 juta, S3 sebesar 30 juta

-    Beasiswa ini diberikan kepada mahasiswa yang tengah menyelesaikan tugas akhir, skripsi, tesis dan disertasi.

-    Peserta akan diminta untuk mengirimkan proposal skripsi, tesis, dan disertasinya.

-   Dewan redaksi Mizan akan melakukan seleksi awal, dari proposal terpilih kemudian akan dinilai oleh dewan juri yang terdiri dari para pakar dan tokoh.

-    Para pemenang, memiliki kesempatan hasil karya tulisnya akan diterbitkan oleh Mizan.

VU International Research Scholarships, Australia

Victoria University International Research Scholarships (VUIPRS) support high-achieving students to study postgraduate research programs at Victoria University.

Are you eligible?

Victoria University’s International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are open to international students applying for a Higher Degree by Research course (PhD, Masters by Research or Professional Doctorate).  These scholarships are typically targeted to building research activity and capacity in Victoria University’s areas of research focus.  You’ll be considered only if your projects and academic backgrounds are strongly aligned to the University’s areas of research focus.

These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and only applicants with outstanding academic results are likely to be successful.

How to apply?

To apply for Victoria University’s Postgraduate Research Scholarships (VUIPRS) you need to submit two applications:

1. Submit a scholarship application to the Admissions and Scholarships Coordinator in the Graduate Research Centre. 
2. Apply through the Victoria University International online application system.  Remember to identify yourself as a Victoria University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (VUIPRS) applicant on the application form.

Key dates for scholarship applications

Beasiswa Monbukagakusho – Program Research Student

Program ini ditujukan untuk mereka yang berminat dalam program research student di perguruan tinggi di Jepang.

Peminat pada waktu menjalani research student diperbolehkan melamar ke program degree (S-2 / S-3 / professional graduate course) atau meneruskan program S-3 setelah menyelesaikan program S-2 / professional graduate course, apabila lulus seleksi tes ujian yang diberikan oleh universitas yang bersangkutan.

Peminat juga dapat langsung masuk ke program degree tanpa mengikuti research student apabila telah mendapatkan izin dari universitas yang bersangkutan. Beasiswa diberikan tanpa ikatan dinas, mencakup biaya kuliah dan biaya hidup.

PERSYARATAN

1. Lahir pada dan setelah tanggal 2 April 1979.
2. IPK minimal 3.0 dari tingkat perguruan tinggi terakhir
3. Nilai TOEFL-PBT minimal 550 atau TOEFL-IBT 79 atau IELTS Minimal 6.0, atau nilai Japanese Language Proficiency Test minimal level 2.
4. Memilih bidang studi yang sama dengan disiplin ilmu sebelumnya.
5. Bersedia belajar Bahasa Jepang.
6. Sehat jasmani dan rohani.

TAHAP PENYELEKSIAN

Kedutaan Besar Jepang melakukan seleksi dokumen, dan akan memberitahukan hasilnya pada tanggal 10 Juni 2013 di website kedutaan Jepang. (Kurang lebih 100 pelamar dipilih melalui seleksi dokumen ini.)

Ujian tertulis Bahasa Jepang dan Bahasa Inggris akan dilaksanakan di Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar atau Denpasar pada tanggal 17 Juni 2013. (Nilai yang lebih tinggi akan dipakai untuk pertimbangan seleksi).

Wawancara akan diadakan di Jakarta antara tanggal 18 Juni – 5 Juli 2013. Detail jadwal wawancara akan ditentukan kemudian. (biaya transportasi dan akomodasi tidak disediakan Kedubes Jepang).

Bagi yang lolos seleksi di Kedubes Jepang akan diberikan surat keterangan sbb:

1. berkas formulir beserta dokumen yang telah diberi stamp Kedutaan Jepang,

2. surat keterangan untuk perguruan tinggi di Jepang, dan

3. lembar “Letter of Acceptance”.

Pelamar boleh memilih maksimal 3 perguruan tinggi untuk mendapatkan izin penerimaan sebagai mahasiswa program degree atau research student, atau “Letter of Acceptance” (izin penerimaan tidak resmi) sebagai research student.
