International Space University MSc Scholarship Program, France

The International Space University is provided funding from industry and government agencies to help support MSc students who are unable to cover all of their tuition fees. This aid is available to selected applicants, and covers a portion of their fees. It is paid directly to ISU by the sponsoring organization. 

This financial aid is available for:

Financial aid will be awarded within the limits of funds available, so early applications are highly recommended. Please note that the relevant box on the Confidential Financial Information form of the application must be checked. It is recommended that candidates make a personal effort to raise funds enabling them to attend the program. Such initiatives are taken into consideration when ISU allocates funding.

When submitting your application to ISU, please don't forget to attach your resume. Your resume may be given by ISU Staff Members to sponsors. However, ISU will not give its sponsors contact information, but will try its best to match applicant's profiles to sponsor requirements.

The ISU Funding Committee, which includes both faculty and Sponsors, awards funding to applicants whose career goals appear to stand to gain substantial benefit from the ISU MSc programs.
Funding is given for help towards tuition fees only.

MBA Scholarship at INSEAD Business School, France

On the occasion of their 20th Class Reunion, the Class of '91 June created an endowed fund for participants on the MBA programme. The award is made once a year to a disadvantaged candidate from a developing nation who demonstrates the need for financial assistance, and in particular to a candidate who is likely to return to his/her country and/or region of origin in the foreseeable future.

KSP Student Scholarships for International Students, France

The Kuwait Program at Sciences Po (KSP) is a partnership between the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and Sciences Po. Working together, the two institutions are supporting research and teaching in the social sciences and the humanities with special emphasis on the study of the Arab World and the Gulf Region. 

The KSP Student Scholarship program supports the next generation of leaders and experts in the Arab World and the Gulf Region. KSP offers scholarships to graduate students admitted to Sciences Po and enrolled in Master programs related to this field of study. Every year multiple scholarships of up to 10,000 Euros each will be awarded on the basis of the candidates’ excellent academic record and project at Sciences Po.

Eligibility

Students in the following Master programs are eligible: 
- At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) of Sciences Po:
  • students admitted to PSIA and committed to enroll in the Concentration Middle East
  • students admitted to the Master in International Energy
- At the Doctoral Schoolof Sciences Po:
  • students currently in the first year of a Research Master programand committed to writing a Master thesis focusing on the Arab World and the Gulf Region in their second year Students of all nationalities may apply.

Scholarships
Multiple scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis in 2013-2014:
- At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA):
  • Each student is awarded up to 10,000 Euros per year. The scholarship is offered for two years of study (up to 20,000 Euros total), on condition of completing the scholarship requirements. 
- At the Doctoral School:
  • Each student is awarded up to 5,000 Euros. The purpose of the scholarship is to support expenses related to travel for field research. The scholarship is offered for one year of study, corresponding to the second year of the Research Master program, on condition of completing the scholarship requirements.
Scholarships will be disbursed on a semester basis, in September and January of each year.
 
Requirements
KSP Student Scholarships are awarded based on the following conditions:
- At the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA):
  • The scholarship is valid for the 2 years of study on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class by the end of the first year). Students who do not meet this requirement will have their scholarship withdrawn in the second year.
  • The scholarship is dependent on the awardees following the same course of study for 2 years. A change in Master or concentration will lead to the withdrawal of the scholarship in the second year. 
- At the Doctoral School:
  • The scholarship is valid for the two semesters of study of the Master’s second year on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class). Students who do not meet this requirement in the first semester of their second year will have their scholarship withdrawn in the second semester. 
  • The scholarship is dependant on the awardees writing a Master thesis focusing on the Arab World or the Gulf Region. A change in Master thesis topic will lead to the withdrawal of the scholarship in the second semester.

Biaya Hidup untuk Mahasiswa di Perancis

Jika berniat untuk meneruskan pendidikan di luar negeri, maka beasiswa selalu menjadi incaran dari mahasiswa asing khususnya Indonesia. Padahal di Eropa, banyak negara yang menawarkan pendidikan murah dan berkualitas. Salah satunya adalah Perancis.

Perwakilan dari CampusFrance, Anton Hilman, mengatakan bahwa hampir 70 persen mahasiswa Indonesia yang berangkat sekolah ke Perancis berbekal biaya sendiri. Pasalnya, pemerintah Perancis memberikan kemudahan untuk biaya pendidikan bagi semua siswa baik siswa asal Perancis maupun siswa asing.

"Pemerintah Perancis sangat fokus menangani masalah pendidikan sehingga tidak perlu khawatir untuk masalah biaya," kata Anton kepada Kompas.com, Kamis (8/11/2012).

Dia mengungkapkan bahwa tiap mahasiswa berhak mendapat tunjangan pendidikan sebesar 10.000 euro yang digunakan untuk membayar biaya perkuliahan selama setahun. Beban yang harus dibayarkan mahasiswa hanya uang pendaftaran yang kisarannya sekitar 200-300 euro per tahun.

Sementara untuk biaya hidup di Perancis, Anton mengatakan tidak dapat memberikan gambaran estimasi secara pasti karena semua itu tergantung pada gaya hidup siswa tersebut. Namun perlu dicatat bahwa biaya hidup di Paris dengan kota-kota lain di Perancis berbeda.

"Tidak bisa diestimasikan untuk biayanya. Itu dikembalikan pada gaya hidup si anak. Tapi normalnya untuk di kota selain Paris, biaya hidupnya sekitar 700 euro per bulan. Untuk Paris, biaya hidup bisa mencapai 1.000 euro per bulan," jelas Anton.

Dia mengingatkan bahwa masalah biaya hidup ini dapat ditekan dengan mengajukan bantuan kepada Pemerintah Perancis yang dapat dilakukan melalui CampusFrance. Bantuan tersebut umumnya berupa bantuan perumahan dan bantuan makan.

"Jadi nanti pengajuannya lewat online akan kami bantu. Untuk tempat tinggal, harga murah juga bisa didapat di apartemen pribadi tanpa harus ke asrama kampus. Untuk makan, bagi mahasiswa biasanya hanya seharga 3 euro di restoran universitas," jelas Anton.

Tidak hanya itu, selama memiliki kartu mahasiswa maka anak tersebut biasanya berhak atas berbagai potongan harga baik dari segi transportasi hingga hiburan seperti berkunjung ke museum atau menonton di bioskop dan pertunjukan seni. Bahkan untuk mahasiswa juga mendapat kemudahan bekerja paruh waktu.

"Selama ada kartu mahasiswa, mau jalan-jalan ke negara Eropa atau jalan-jalan naik TGV biasanya akan dapat diskon," tandasnya.

Nah jika tertarik untuk melanjutkan studi di negara yang bersemboyan Liberte, Egalite dan Fraternite ini dengan biaya sendiri, jangan ragu untuk berkonsultasi langsung ke CampusFrance yang berada di kantor IFI di Jalan Salemba, Jakarta. Ini penting dilakukan agar selama menempuh studi tidak ada masalah yang terjadi.

Beasiswa Eiffel untuk S-2 dan S-3

Prancis terkenal akan keindahan alam dan obyek wisatanya. Alangkah nikmatnya ketika keindahan itu bisa dinikmati sambil melanjutkan pendidikan, apalagi secara gratis.

Program beasiswa dari pemerintah Prancis mungkin dapat menjadi jawaban atas keinginan tersebut. Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program adalah beasiswa parsial yang ditawarkan bagi mahasiswa internasional baik tingkat S-2 maupun S-3. Program studi untuk beasiswa ini difokuskan kepada beberapa bidang, yakni teknik, ekonomi dan manajemen, hukum, dan ilmu politik.

 

Untuk program S-2, usia pelamar maksimal 30 tahun sementara S-3 maksimal 35 tahun. Kemudian, pelamar juga tidak boleh atau sudah menerima beasiswa serupa dari pemerintah Prancis.

Melalui beasiswa Eiffel ini, mahasiswa S-2 akan menerima tunjangan bulanan 1.181 euro atau sekira Rp14,7
juta (Rp12.427 per euro). Sementara itu, untuk mahasiswa S-3 akan menerima tunjangan sedikit lebih besar, yakni 1.400 euro atau Rp17,3 juta.

Selain tunjangan tiap bulan, baik S-2 maupun S-3 juga mendapat biaya perjalanan pulang, asuransi kesehatan, maupun untuk kegiatan budaya. Bahkan, penerima beasiswa juga bisa mendapatkan tunjangan akomodasi tambahan.


Sayangnya, program beasiswa ini tidak menanggung biaya kuliah. Biaya pendaftaran ke universitas juga tidak termasuk dalam tanggungan beasiswa Eiffel. Perlu diingat, untuk pengajuan beasiswa Eiffel pun hanya dapat dilakukan oleh pihak universitas Prancis.

Master scholarships of the Mathematics for Life Sciences, France

For the project LabeX LMH, the Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering one year scholarships for talented students applying for the master program in Mathematics for Life Sciences (Master2 MathSV) in one of its member institutions (the Departments in Applied Mathematics of the École polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, and Paris Sud University in Orsay).  These scholarships are only for the second year of a Master degree program (M2).

The scholarships are open to all students who have a bachelor's degree in mathematics (or related to mathematics) and who have or will have completed the first year of a Master or PhD program  in a foreign or French academic institution during the academic year 2011-2012;
The stipend  is 10,000 euros per year. Laureates won't have to pay any tuition fees and will benefit from the French health insurance system (Sécurité Sociale).
For the foreign students: the FMJH will support travel expenses (one round-trip ticket, economy class from your residence).  The FMJH will provide housing in students dormitories (the cost will be directly deduced from the scholarship). The FMJH will also provide french courses and assistance at the arrival in France.
The students cannot combine their scholarship with any other remuneration.

Complete the relevant online form below and send it before June 2th, 2012 at midnight (Paris time, +1 GMT).
Only electronic submission using the online form will be considered. Please complete the M2 form.

 

Deadlines

Applications for the 2012-2013 FMJH program Master are open from Wednesday May 2th until Saturday, June 2th.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process Thursday June 10th.

The scholarships are open to all students. The selection process will be based on the academic quality of the transcript and recommendation letters.

Master 2 Scholarship for Foreign Students at the University of Rennes 2012/13, France

The Foundation Rennes 1 which purposes are to support excellence research and an international opening, is starting a call for  application  for foreign  students likely to spend a year studying in the University of Rennes 1 for a Master 2 research. AtoSIM - Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2012-2013

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is available for Master Degree Level. The program called AtoSim, that is a Physics or Chemistry Masters degree providing a high-level qualification in the rapidly expanding field of computer modeling in physical, chemical and bio-molecular sciences and covering a wide range of techniques: from quantum mechanical atomistic descriptions to coarse-grained mesoscopic models.

30 Master Scholarships at Ecole Normale Supérieure, France

Each year the ENS organizes an international selection allowing about thirty of the most promising international students to follow a two or three years course at the ENS. They receive a monthly stipend of approximately 1,000 Euros and benefit from an accommodation on the ENS campus.

30 Master Scholarships 
About 30 foreigner students are allocated by the International Selection a monthly scholarship of approximately 1000 euros during two years (in Mathematics, a year of undergraduate studies can be added before the Master, depending on the candidate’s profile).

Eligibility
The application requirements are the following:
  • Providing proof of a non-French nationality;
  • Being younger than 26 years old on September, 1st, 2012.
  • Applying only once for this program.
  • Attending a University outside of France
- In their last year of undergraduate studies (to be validated before September, 1st, 2012)
- Or, in the first year of post-graduate studies (exept candidates in Mathematics), provided they enrol in the first year of a Master’s Degree at the ENS on September, 1st, 2012.
The jury in Mathematics will considered in priority candidates enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies.
Exceptionally students who started studying in France after the 1st of August 2011 may apply.
