Scholarships are available at undergraduate level for Indonesian students from UK University. This scholarships are given by University of Nottingham in the year of 2012.

Who is eligible?

This scholarships are available for students who  

• are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Indonesia AND  
• are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND 
• register on a full-time Foundation or full Undergraduate Degree programme at Nottingham in 2012 – any subject area (excluding Medicine and Veterinary Science)

The scholarship is for each year of the programme, subject to satisfactory progress, and is given once an application form has been completed .

How to apply?

Applying for the Indonesia Undergraduate Scholarship for inclusion on your CAS Certificate  

• If you are eligible for this Scholarship and would like it to be included on your CAS Certificate for visa purposes you must make your online application by 27 July 2012

• In order for it to be included on your CAS Certificate you must have been given an unconditional offer to study at The University of Nottingham for September 2012 and have accepted that offer
• If you make your online application by 27 July 2012 the scholarship will be deducted from your tuition fees
• If you are sponsored by an official sponsor (overseas government, university, business or charity/trust) you should not apply in advance of your registration – you should wait and apply once you have registered on your course in September, so that you can be awarded the scholarship directly. If you choose to apply in advance and it is successful, the scholarship will automatically be deducted from your tuition fees and you will not receive the scholarship directly
• Incomplete applications or applications submitted after 27 July 2012 will NOT be processed – you will need to wait and submit your application once you have registered on your course in September –

Benefits
15 Scholarships of AUD$10,000 each per annum, available for a maximum of three years (total value AUD$30,000), for any Undergraduate program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year).

No living allowance is payable.

Criteria for Eligibility
- Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 98* or equivalent.

- Students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing are not eligible. Students completing Foundation Studies Programs are also not eligible.

SYDNEY ACHIEVERS INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS (POSTGRADUATE)

Benefits
15 scholarships of AUD$10,000 each, available as a one-off award (total value AUD$10,000) for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney.

No living allowance is payable.

Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree qualification with a minimum high distinction average as based on the Australian grading system. Students who have already commenced Postgraduate studies, or students transferring from other Postgraduate programs are not eligible.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

- Candidates interested in applying for a Sydney Achievers International Scholarship must complete the Application Form and submit it in addition to the Application for Admission to the University of Sydney. Complete supporting documentation (academic and English language proficiency results) must also be submitted.

- Only complete applications with supporting documentation meeting the selection and eligibility criteria will be considered for the Scholarships.

- In order to be considered for a Scholarship, applicants need to be in receipt of a Firm or Unconditional Offer of Admission to the University of Sydney by 30 April 2012. Applicants without a Firm or Unconditional Offer will not be considered. In view of this, candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for a Scholarship as soon as possible.

SELECTION CRITERIA

- Selection will be based on academic merit as per the University’s admission requirements, and on other discipline-specific criteria (such as audition results/portfolios). Selection will be based on actual results (academic and English language proficiency). Predicted/forecast results will not be considered.

- Selection will be made by the University’s Sydney Achievers International Scholarship Selection Committee, whose decision will be final. No appeals will be entertained.

- Successful candidates will be informed in June 2012.

The Chinese Government Scholarship 2012-2013

The Chinese Government Scholarship 2012-2013 is now available for overseas students to pursue master’s degree or doctor’s degree at Chongqing University. The Master’s degree program  has 2-3 years duration of study with 2-4 years of scholarship duration. Doctor’s candidate might have 3-4 years study and scholarship will  be provided for 3-5 years. Applicants shall only apply for full-time degree program at Chongqing University.

Eligibility

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.

2.  Applicants for master degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree.

3.  Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree.

4. Applicants for master degree should be under the age of 35.

5.  Applicants for Doctoral degree should be under the age of 40.

What will be funded?

• Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for basic learning materials and on-campus accommodation;

• Living allowance and a one-off settlement subsidy for new overseas students;

• Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;

• Fee for a one-off inter-city travel by train;

How to register

1.    Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (printed by CSC), in Chinese or in English. Applicants are required to submit application on the website of China Scholarship Council and have the application printed. Then it should be sent togeher with other required documents mentioned below to the International Student Office, Chongqing University (one original and three copies).

2.    Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide documents of being university students or on-post employees. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

3.    Applicants for master’s degree shall provide notarized transcripts for bachelor’s degree. Applicants for doctor’s degree shall provide notarized transcripts for master’s degree. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

4.    A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words).

5.    Applicants shall submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors.

6.    Applicants for music are requested to submit one cassette recording of the applicants’ own work. Applicants for fine arts must submit six color photographs of personal works (two sketches, two color paintings and two other works).

7.  Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (printed by Chinese quarantine authority) filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results will be valid for 6 months. Students who win the scholarship will be required to retake physical examination when they arrive in China in September, 2012. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration while determining the time to take the medical examination.

8.   English or Chinese language proficiency certificate. (IELTS, TOEFL or HSK)

Beasiswa? Yuk kenalan..

Beasiswa menjadi tiket bagi para pelajar maupun mahasiswa dengan kemampuan ekonomi terbatas namun ingin mengenyam pendidikan setinggi mungkin. Terutama jika universitas impian tersebut berada di luar negeri yang membutuhkan biaya besar.

Namun, sebelum mengajukan beasiswa, kamu perlu mengetahui lebih dulu berbagai jenis beasiswa yang ditawarkan baik oleh instansi pemerintah maupun universitas yang bersangkutan. Pertimbangan selanjutnya adalah, apakah beasiswa tersebut menanggung seluruh biaya perkuliahan hingga lulus atau hanya sebagian.

Menurut Buku Pintar Beasiswa, dari segi pendanaan, beasiswa dibagi menjadi dua kategori, yaitu beasiswa penuh dan beasiswa sebagian. 

 

1. Beasiswa penuh (full scholarship)
Sesuai namanya, beasiswa penuh meliputi pendanaan seluruh komponen pendidikan. Jenis beasiswa ini menanggung biaya kuliah, akomodasi, biaya hidup, asuransi, buku pelajaran, biaya penelitian, dan tiket perjalanan. Secara keseluruhan, komponen pendanaan beasiswa penuh hampir sama. Namun, ada pula penyedia beasiswa yang memberikan pendanaan bantuan bagi keluarga tanggungan penerima beasiswa. Contoh program beasiswa penuh, yaitu Chevening, Australian Development Scholarship (ADS), dan Ford Foundation.

2. Beasiswa sebagian (partial scholarship)
Program beasiswa ini hanya menanggung biaya tertentu saja selama kamu menjalani perkuliahan. Misalnya, pihak sponsor hanya menanggung biaya perkuliahan, akomodasi, dan perjalanan, sementara kamu harus menyediakan dana untuk biaya hidup. Program ini biasanya banyak ditawarkan oleh pihak universitas atau untuk program pendidikan pendek (short/summer course). Jika tetap ingin mengambil beasiswa parsial, baca kembali peraturan yang ditetapkan oleh pihak sponsor terkait izin untuk mencari pihak sponsor lain guna menutupi biaya yang tidak ditanggung.

Selain beasiswa penuh dan parsial, beasiswa juga dapat digolongkan berdasarkan pihak penyedia. Program ini terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis yaitu berasal dari swasta, pemerintah, serta komunitas tertentu.

a. Beasiswa dari pemerintah
Program ini ditawarkan oleh departemen atau lembaga pemerintahan. Di Indonesia, sejumlah kementerian pun memiliki program ini dan tidak terbatas ditujukan pada pegawai instansi tersebut. Contoh, beasiswa dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud), Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo), Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), dan sebagainya.

b. Beasiswa dari pihak swasta
Umumnya, program Coorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) di sejumlah perusahaan swasta di Indonesia saat ini menyasar bidang pendidikan. Tidak heran, banyak tawaran beasiswa yang bisa kamu ajukan.

c. Beasiswa yang berasal dari negara maju dan donor internasionalBeberapa contoh beasiswa yang merupakan kerja sama Indonesia dengan negara lain, yaitu beasiswa ADS dari pemerintah Australia yang dikelola oleh Ausaid, beasiswa Chevening dari pemerintah Inggris yang dikelola British Council, beasiswa Fullbright pemerintah AS yang dikelola America Indonesia Exchange Foundation (Aminef), pemerintah Belanda melalui beasiswa yang dikelola Nuffic Neso (NEC), dan beasiswa Monbukagakusho dari pemerintah Jepang.

d. Beasiswa yang berasal dari komunitas, organisasi, atau yayasan
Program ini ditawarkan oleh komunitas, organisasi, atau yayasan tertentu dengan berbagai latar belakang, baik sosial, akademik, maupun keagamaan. Di Indonesia, beasiswa dari The Habiebie Center merupakan contohnya.

Mengenali dengan baik program beasiswa yang kamu ajukan sangat penting agar kamu dapat mempersiapkan dari jauh hari segala pendanaan yang belum ditanggung oleh pihak sponsor. Paramadina Fellowship 2012, Beasiswa Kuliah S1 & Biaya Hidup di Universitas Paramadina

Paramadina bekerjasama dengan para dermawan Indonesia untuk “kelima kalinya”, menawarkan beasiswa kepada siswa-siswi serta lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas (SLTA) atau sederajat yang memiliki prestasi akademik maupun non akademik untuk mengikuti pendidikan (S-1) di Universitas Paramadina, pada Program Studi : Manajemen, Falsafah dan Agama, Ilmu Komunikasi, Psikologi, Hubungan Internasional, Teknik Informatika, Desain Komunikasi Visual, Desain Produk Industri 

Kualifikasi

• Siswa kelas 3 atau lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas (SLTA) atau sederajat dari seluruh Indonesia.
• Siswa kelas 3 atau lulusan SLTA atau sederajat, dengan nilai rata-rata NEM/UAN, STTB, dan Raport Kelas I, II dan III, minimum 8,00.
  • Tanggal lahir 1 Januari 1989 dan setelahnya.
  • Aktif dalam kegiatan organisasi intra dan ekstra sekolah.
  • Mampu berbahasa Inggris atau bahasa asing lainnya.
  • Tidak pernah terlibat tindak kriminal (penyalahgunaan narkotika dan miras, pemalsuan, pelecehan seksual dan tindakan asusila lainnya, serta tindak kekerasan).
  • Memahami dan menyetujui semua persyaratan dan ketentuan yang berlaku dalam program beasiswa ini **

**) Ketentuan yang berlaku :

1. Penerima beasiswa harus menyelesaikan masa kuliah maksimum dalam kurun 4 tahun kalender akademik.
2. Siswa yang tidak mendapatkan nilai IPK minimum 3,25 selama dua semester pada saat perkuliahan, dinyatakan gagal dan tidak lagi memperoleh beasiswa untuk penyelesaian sisa masa studi.
3. Siswa wajib memenuhi nilai non akademik minimum 60 poin dan rata-rata 15 poin per-tahun kalender akademik selama berkuliah di Universitas Paramadina.
   1. Nominasi ini akan gugur dengan sendirinya apabila siswa/pendaftar dinyatakan tidak lulus UAN.
   2. Tidak sedang menerima beasiswa untuk pendidikan tinggi.
   3. Tidak boleh menerima beasiswa lain, selama menjalani PF.

Proses Pendaftaran

Formulir pendaftaran dapat diperoleh di Bagian Informasi Universitas Paramadina tanpa dipungut biaya atau dapat di download disini. Formulir Pendaftaran yang sudah diisi diserahkan sebelum batas waktu yang ditentukan dengan disertai :

• Formulir pendaftaran yang sudah dilengkapi dan ditandatangani, bermaterai 6000 rupiah.
• Satu (1) foto berwarna 3 x 4 cm (ditempel pada kotak yang telah disediakan pada formulir pendaftaran).
• Satu Surat Rekomendasi dari Kepala Sekolah atau Tokoh Masyarakat, dan Satu (1) Surat Rekomendasi dari Guru SLTA atau sederajat, (gunakan format yang telah disediakan, dan masukkan ke dalam amplop tertutup). Surat Rekomendasi di dalamnya menyebutkan mengenai kepribadian, situasi ekonomi, kemampuan dan prestasi pendaftar, kondisi kesehatan (riwayat kesehatan), etika dan interaksi sosial pendaftar.

Surat rekomendasi yang dikirim secara terpisah dengan formulir aplikasi tidak akan diproses. (Pemberi rekomendasi tidak memiliki hubungan keluarga dengan pendaftar).

Essay yang berjudul

• ’Janjiku untuk Indonesia’ dan ’Perjuangan Hidupku’.
• Copy sertifikat dari penghargaan atau prestasi yang pernah diterima (selama SMP dan SLTA).
• Satu (1) copy Kartu Tanda penduduk (KTP) yang berlaku.
• Satu (1) copy NEM SLTA yang dilegalisir (bagi lulusan SLTA)

Nilai Beasiswa

Paramadina Fellowship 2012, mencakup pendanaan :

* Dana transportasi dari tempat asal menuju ke Universitas Paramadina.

* Biaya studi maksimal 4 tahun kalender akademik.

* Dana pendukung pra-kuliah sebesar Rp 2.500.000,- (dua juta lima ratus ribu rupiah).

* Tunjangan buku 1 juta rupiah per-semester.

* Biaya hidup (living allowance) sebesar 1 juta rupiah per-bulan.** dan 20% dari dana tersebut dikenakan untuk dana asrama.

* Disediakan asrama, wajib tinggal selama 2 tahun atau 4 semester berturut-turut.** dan dapat diperpanjang hingga akhir kuliah (maksimal 4 tahun, sesuai kalender akademik).

* Kemungkinan pelatihan dan magang selama studi, di perusahaan Donor.

* Peluang kesempatan kerja atau tawaran kerja dari Donor, setelah menyelesaikan studi S-1.

• Penerima beasiswa dari wilayah Jabodetabek, juga berhak atas biaya hidup dan wajib tinggal di asrama.

Introduction

 

We welcome outstanding and talented prospective graduate students from around the nation and the world to apply for Graduate Studies. Besides national students, KFUPM currently has international graduate students from 28 different nationalities. This adds to the richness & diversity of the academic and research environment at KFUPM.

The University currently offers 32 Master programs and 11 Doctoral programs in a full range of traditional disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary programs that anticipate market trends and respond to national needs. KFUPM provides full MS and PhD scholarships for distinguished graduate applicants who demonstrate high potential for conducting original research in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business.

 

Online Application

 

All graduate admissions are administered by the Deanship of Graduate Studies (DGS). Candidates who intend to enroll in graduate programs at the University need to submit an online application available on the website of DGS on the link http://www1.kfupm.edu.sa/gs/application/preonline.asp . The online application is available only during the application periods according to the posted application deadlines on the link http://www1.kfupm.edu.sa/gs/main/deadlines.asp . The graduate admission is open twice a year for the two semesters: The Fall Term (usually starting in September) and the Spring Term (usually starting in February).

After submission of the online application, mandatory documents need to be uploaded through the Upload System using the same Login ID and PIN created for the online application using this link: http://adgs.kfupm.edu.sa/   

 

Mandatory documents for application (without which application will not be processed)

 

• Copy of identification (National ID for Saudi nationals / Passport for international applicants / Iqama for residents of Saudi Arabia).
• Complete official transcripts for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
• Statement-of-Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals).
• Recommendation Letters from 3 Professors through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.
• GMAT scores for MBA program (for international applicants).

 

Other supporting documents (needed for final admission decision)

 

• Certificates for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
• TOEFL score (min. is 68 iBT for MS and 79 iBT for PhD).
• Acceptable GRE General score (min. Quant. is 700, min. Analytical is 3.0).
• Upon approval, original/certified copies of degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) are to be sent through postal mail.
