University of Ulster Scholarships for International Students, UK

A total of 5 Santander Scholarships are available to students from all countries except from Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. The Scholarships are for Postgraduate Master's or Undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2013-14 academic year. These scholarships are only available to students who are coming to Northern Ireland to study.

The University of Ulster is proud to be part of the Santander Network of Universities and grateful to
Santander for the provision of these scholarships which were established in June 2011.
 

OPEN Scholarship
3 x £5,000 Scholarships available to study full time on any undergraduate Bachelors, or postgraduate taught Masters Course at Ulster.

Am I Eligible?
1.  You should hold an unconditional offer for:
•  A full-time taught Postgraduate Master's course or
•  A full time Undergraduate course or
•  The Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Plus or Standard course and progressing to one of the above awards
2.  For fees purposes you must not be a national of Northern Ireland, Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland.
3.  You must not be in receipt of any other Scholarship/Bursary outside of the University of Ulster.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who have been made an unconditional offer. This includes students who have been made an unconditional offer to study on our Pre-sessional EAP courses and who hold a conditional offer to either an undergraduate or postgraduate course.  In this case the Scholarship will not be awarded until a student has successfully passed and completed the Pre-sessional course.
 

Ulster Final Year International Scholarship 

1 x £5,000 Scholarship available to a current final year undergraduate international student to continue study on a postgraduate taught Masters course at Ulster.

Am I Eligible?
1.  You should hold an unconditional offer for a full-time Postgraduate taught Master's course.
2.  For fees purposes you must not be a national of Northern Ireland, Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland.
3.  You must not be in receipt of any other Scholarship/Bursary outside of the University of Ulster.
 

Ulster/Chinese Partner Scholarship
1 x £5000 Scholarship for a student from one of our Chinese partner institutions to come and study at Ulster.
Am I Eligible?
1.  You should hold an unconditional offer for:
a.  A full-time taught Postgraduate taught Master's course or
b.  A full time Undergraduate course or
c.  The Pre-sessional EAP Plus or Standard course leading to one of the above awards
 

2.  You must be a current student of one of our Chinese partner institutions (see list of Chinese Partner Institutions)
3.  You must not be already studying at Ulster.
4.  For fees purposes you must not be a national of Northern Ireland, Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland.
5.  You must not be in receipt of any other Scholarship/Bursary outside of the University of Ulster

The scholarships will be awarded to students who have been made an unconditional offer. This includes students who have been made an unconditional offer to study on our Pre-sessional EAP courses and who hold a conditional offer to either an undergraduate or postgraduate course. In this case the Scholarship will not be awarded until a student has successfully passed and completed the Pre-sessional course.
 

Value, Terms and Conditions
-  Each Scholarship has a value of £5,000 which will be awarded for one academic year.
-  The Scholarship is set against your tuition fees.
-  If you are an EU student the balance of the Scholarship will be paid directly to you.
-   If you are paying full international (overseas) fees this Santander Scholarship will not cover all of your tuition fees.
-  The Scholarship does not cover living costs.
-  The Scholarship does not include living expenses.
-  A scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
-  Providing you meet the eligibility criteria you may apply for more than one type of Scholarship however you cannot be awarded more than one Scholarship type in any competition round.
-  The Scholarship will only be awarded for a course of study offered at the Belfast, Coleraine, Jordanstown or Magee campuses.

These Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the information that you provide on your application form.   

How to Apply
Eligible applicants should complete the relevant Scholarship application form and return it to santander@ulster.ac.uk by Monday 8 July 2013.

Selection Procedure
A Selection Committee will meet week commencing 15 July 2013 to select the Scholarship recipients.
When completing the Scholarship application form you will be asked to provide the following:
-  Your personal details (Part A);
-  Answers to four questions (Part B) in relation to your career goals, leadership abilities and why/how you think you will benefit from a Santander Scholarship 

Notification of Results
The winners of the Scholarship will be informed in writing by email by Friday 26 July 2013.
We are unable to inform unsuccessful applicants. If you do not hear from us by the end of August, please assume your application has been unsuccessful.

The decision of the Selection Committee is final.

Scholarship for Development-Related Postgraduate Courses, Germany

Development-Related Postgraduate Courses 2014/2015

· Postgraduate courses for young professionals from developing countries at German institutions of Higher education

· Duration: 12-24 months, depending on the particular institution

· Internationally recognised Master's degree

· Includes German Universities and “Fachhochschulen” (Universities of Applied Science)

· Support of selected programmes with a variety of full or partial scholarships

· Funded by the BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) but admission is also open to self-financed participants or students financed through government or other sources

University of Kent Dental Development Scholarships, UK

This scholarship competition is open to all UK, EU and Overseas part-time students.
This scholarship fund is designed to support widening access and participation in higher education by dental care professionals and will provide a partial scholarship to incoming and current students in the Postgraduate Dental Care programmes at the University of Kent.

Scholarships of £250 or £500 per annum will be available. The maximum amount available to any scholar will be £500 per academic stage.

Scholarships may be awarded for PG Certificate, PG Diploma or MSc stages, and any applicant awarded a scholarship at PG Certificate or PG Diploma will be able to reapply for succeeding academic stages at the end of June each year. Scholarships will also be subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Criteria

• Applicants must fulfil the normal entry requirements for the course
• Applicants must hold an offer of a place at the University of Kent for the 2013-14 academic year in the Dental Care programme
• Applicants will be judged on the strength of their academic background and appropriate completion of the award application form

Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Program at St. George’s University, USA

Academically gifted students with limited resources deserve the ability to reach their potential.  SGU recognizes this, and that’s why 60 full-tuition scholarships will be awarded to Commonwealth citizens under the St. George’s University, Grenada, Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Program, commemorating the 60 years of the Queens reign as the Head of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Scholarships are available for the following programs:

• Doctor of Medicine
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
• Master of Public Health
• Master of Business Administration
• School of Arts and Sciences

This scholarship program seeks to make tertiary education possible for top scholars in Commonwealth countries who might otherwise be unable to attend university. Currently, 2,139 students from Commonwealth countries are studying at the University with 3,233 having graduated. 

Application deadlines (commencing with the August 2013 class) are June1 for the August class and November 1 for the January class.

Scholarships available for Master 2014
Milano Fashion Institute offers each year to its applicants several scholarships, which cover half the costs of enrollment in the Masters, and are offered by Italian companies active in the fashion industry.

How does it work?

The attribution of scholarships takes place before the beginning of the course, considering both income and merit criteria, by the Academic Commission. The admission to the Master is independent from the grant of any scholarship.

How to apply?
 
The application form for scholarships is included in the "Application Form" of each Master, and it is downloadable from this site, under the page "Apply". Once you have submitted the Application Form, the Academic Commission shall decide on any assignment, with notification of the result by the beginning of the course. To whom are the scholarships aimed?

The scholarships are aimed at both Italian citizens and foreigners who wish to attend the Masters of the Milan Fashion Institute.

The International Student Scholarships are a testament to Bond University’s commitment to quality and outstanding international students. These scholarships are available to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability (academic merit based scholarships).

Application Submission

All international students who have made an application to study at Bond University (by the scholarship closing date for each semester) will be considered for an International Student Scholarship.
It is recommended that when students complete a Bond University Application Form, they submit a personal statement (outlining why you should be awarded a Bond scholarship), references, resume and certified copies of other relevant documentation to assist in supporting your application.
As part of the selection process, all shortlisted applicants will be required to participate in a telephone interview.
Selections for each intake of scholarship students are assessed based on academic merit. Should your submission not be successful at the time of application, your details will be reassessed for future semester intakes up until the point of acceptance.
Please note: Only short-listed applicants will be contacted for an interview. If you are not contacted for an interview by the dates stated in the general information above, then you can assume you have been unsuccessful in your application. Students will not be notified of their unsuccessful application in writing.

1. Peringkat universitas
Informasi tentang pemeringkatan perguruan tinggi perlu diketahui jika Anda bertujuan untuk kuliah di salah satu perguruan tinggi terbaik di Indonesia maupun di dunia. Cobalah cari pemeringkatan perguruan tinggi berdasarkan jurusan yang memang Anda tuju.

Namun ingat, pemeringkatan ini sifatnya dinamis. Selain peringkatnya, Anda perlu memastikan metodologi dan indikator pemeringkatan tersebut. Ini juga berguna untuk mencocokkan indikator pemeringkatan dan kriteria perguruan tinggi yang memang ingin Anda tuju.

2. Sistem penilaian
Sistem penilaian atau rating untuk suatu perguruan tinggi akan membantu Anda membandingkan institusi pendidikan yang berbeda. Biasanya, penilaian disertai dengan informasi detail mengenai keunggulan dari suatu perguruan tinggi dan program studi yang ada di dalamnya.

3. Pendapat para ahli
Peringkat dan sistem penilaian atau rating biasanya diperkuat oleh pendapat para ahli. Coba temukan artikel yang ditulis oleh orang-orang yang memang tahu banyak tentang pendidikan tinggi dan bersedia memberikan masukan dan prediksi mengenai perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan tertentu.

Semuanya bisa ditemukan dengan mudah di internet, termasuk juga Twitter. Sediakan waktu untuk melakukan riset kecil-kecilan karena itu akan memengaruhi pilihanmu nantinya. Selain itu, manfaatkan jaringan dengan para alumninya untuk memeroleh informasi sebanyak-banyaknya mengenai program studi dan universitas yang ingin Anda tuju.

4. Pameran pendidikan
Jika universitas yang Anda tuju menggelar pameran pendidikan, tentu Anda wajib menghadirinya. Hadir dalam ajang ini merupakan kesempatan yang baik untuk mengetahui seperti apa kehidupan di universitas tersebut, bagaimana proses untuk masuk dan tentu saja untuk menjawab segala pertanyaan Anda yang belum terjawab.

5. Petunjuk lokasi
Jika Anda berencana kuliah di luar kota, atau bahkan luar negeri, proses seleksi perguruan tinggi juga perlu mencakup riset kecil mengenai lokasi dan lingkungan sekitarnya.

Perhatikan lingkungan di sekitar kampus, termasuk tempat tinggal dan fasilitas penunjang kehidupan sehari-harinya. Ini termasuk faktor X yang akan memengaruhi prestasi Anda nantinya di bangku kuliah. Jika Anda memilih studi ke luar negeri, pikirkan cuaca, seperti suhu, di daerah tersebut. Pikirkan juga kemampuan Anda berbahasa lokal.
