Queen’s University Belfast offers Early Bird International Scholarship for Postgraduate Students, UK


International applicants who have received and accepted an unconditional offer of a one year full-time place on a postgraduate taught course at Queen’s and are not in receipt of any University Scholarship from Queen’s or a partner university, may benefit from a 10% reduction in tuition fees by paying 90% of the tuition fees by 15 August 2012, as per the below table:
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
• Candidates must have met all the course entry requirements and have received an unconditional offer on a one year full-time postgraduate taught course at Queen’s University Belfast. The following courses are not eligible under the scheme: EdD TESOL, MSc in Pharmacy and MThTheology.

• Candidates must be eligible to pay overseas tuition fees (non EU).

• Students progressing from partner universities overseas are not eligible for the Early Bird Reward.

• Full net fees must be paid before or by 15 August 2012.

• Instructions for payment are included in the Guidance Notes for International Students regarding Voluntary Deposit Payment Form, which were sent with the offer letter.


Application procedures:

• Unconditional applicants must accept their offer online, as indicated in their offer letter.

• A Deposit Payment Form must be completed and returned to the Income and Student Finance Office at the University, together with the bank draft or bank transfer and a copy of the offer letter. 

• The Income and Student Finance Office will process the payment and send a receipt to the address indicated by the applicant.

• Upon confirmation of payment, or in the six months before the beginning of the course, students will be issued with a CAS statement for visa purposes, which will reflect the deposit paid.

• NB: Please note that it may take 10 working days for the bank draft and accompanying information to arrive with the Income and Student Office and be processed. Please also email the completed form to the following email address (international@qub.ac.uk) to confirm that the bank draft has been posted. This is particularly important closer to the deadline of 15 August 2012.
