EMTTLF - An Erasmus Mundus Program

The European Master’s in Transnational Trade Law and Finance (EMTTLF) has been selected by the European Commission among the Erasmus Mundus masters courses for five years. This implies that the Consortium will be able to grant scholarships to highly qualified graduate students to follow the EMTTLF Masters Course. This Master is a joint Postgraduate Program offered by 4 European Leading Universities and coordinated by the School of Law of the University of Deusto.

Requirements/Criteria  
1. For graduate students citizens of a Third country (with the exception of Turkey and Western Balkans) as defined below. Third-country graduate student means:
  • a national of a third country other than those from EEA-EFTA States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and candidate countries for accession to the European Union (presently Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey);
  • who has already obtained a first higher education degree;
  • who is not a resident of any of the Member States or the participating countries (EEA-EFTA States and EU candidate countries for accession);
  • who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years in any of the Member States of the European Union nor any Member State of the EEA-EFTA (Norway, Iceland & Liechtenstein).
2. only individuals who have not previously benefitted from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship are eligible to apply. Applicants are asked to sign a declaration confirming that they have not previously received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship in the Scholarship Application Form.
Candidates must be have completed at least a good level first cycle degree in a discipline related to Law and Business Administration (ILF accepts only Law, Economics or Business Administration graduates).

3.   The Course seeks those who demonstrate a proven interest in issues of Transnational law and finance and/or have related international work experience.

4. Candidates are required to have a recognized qualification in the languages of instruction of the university that they plan to attend. Applicants will have to enclose the documentation attesting their level of English (TOEFL test results 580* or IELTS 6.5) or French (DELF, DALF or other diploma), if they apply for the Strasbourg Track. Check the “TOEFL Internet Based Test score comparison”.

5. Study mobility periods abroad and practical experience in European and/or international organizations and institutions is valued.


6. Selection criteria include motivation, academic qualifications, languages skills, research experience, and professional experience.

Scholarship for MBA Programme - EADA, Spain

EADA Business School (Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración), established in 1957, is an international business school located in Barcelona. It offers programs for Masters, MBA and Executive Education. EADA's MBA program is ranked among the 100 best MBA programs in the world by The Economist and the Financial Times where for 2011 it ranks 84th worldwide. In addition, EADA has consistently been ranked among the top four business schools in Spain. In order to help their candidates finance their studies, every year EADA offers a wide range of scholarships.


Eligible
  • Scholarship applications are available to all candidates who have successfully completed the admission process and paid 25% of the total fee  of the MBA Programme.
  •  Special enrolment cancelation conditions apply to scholarship applicants. Unsuccessful scholarship applicants who cancel their enrolment within 10 working days of not being awarded the scholarship will be refunded all the payment(s) made towards the programme minus an administrative fee of 300 €. After 10 working days, the normal cancelation conditions will apply.

2. A  letter introducing yourself  and explaining why you are an outstanding candidate for the scholarship.

Victoria Master’s Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

For the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research at Victoria, the University offers scholarships to students about to commence a full-time, research-focussed Master's degree.
Over thirty scholarships shall be offered, consisting of a $15,000 stipend, plus domestic fees. International students, other than those from Australia will be liable to pay the difference between the full international student fee and the domestic fee.

Purpose of award
To encourage research at Masters level at Victoria university. Only those students enrolled solely for a 90 point thesis are eligible to apply.
 
Selection criteria
Only those students enrolled solely for a 90 point thesis or above are eligible to apply. In some cases this will be Part 2 of a two-year Master's degree and will usually have the course code 591. Students who are enrolled in Master's degree programmes that have thesis or research components of less than 90 points, or who elect not to enrol for the solely by thesis option, but instead enrol in taught courses, internships, performance, portfolio, practicum, or other programme options, are eligible to apply for the Victoria Graduate Scholarships. Creative Writing candidates are eligible to apply for the Master's [by thesis] Scholarship.

Master Scholarship in Water Resources Management by ICE WaRM, Australia

ICE WaRM offers a scholarship programme to attract high quality international students to education and training in water resources management, delivered by ICE WaRM partner institutions.

The ICE WaRM scholarship programme aims to:
  • provide high calibre students with the opportunity to study with ICE WaRM partners to further their knowledge;
  • provide students with the opportunity to participate in research and advance their scientific knowledge in water resources management;
  • encourage the exchange of ideas on best practice within water-related fields;
  • provide students with the opportunity to participate in presentations, conferences, seminars and forums on contemporary issues in water resources management;
  • provide the opportunity for students from organisations and countries currently facing major water issues to participate in programmes which they may not be able to fund; and

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING

ICE WaRM offers full and partial scholarships toward the cost of the programme (fee tuition).  For international students the fully funded scholarship is AUD$40,000 and partially funded scholarship is AUD$20,000*.

Beasiswa Bidikmisi 2012 untuk Lulusan SMA/Sederajat 2011 & 2012

PROGRAM BANTUAN BIAYA PENDIDIKAN BAGI CALON MAHASISWA YANG TIDAK MAMPU SECARA EKONOMI DAN BERPOTENSI AKADEMIK BAIK

Persyaratan Pendaftaran Program Bidikmisi

  1. Siswa SMA/SMK/MA/MAK atau bentuk lain yang sederajat yang akan lulus pada tahun 2012;
  2. Lulusan tahun 2011 yang bukan penerima Bidikmisi dan tidak bertentangan dengan ketentuan penerimaan mahasiswa baru di masing- masing PTN;
  3. Usia paling tinggi pada saat mendaftar adalah 21 tahun;
  4. Kurang mampu secara ekonomi sebagai berikut:
    1. Pendapatan kotor gabungan orangtua/wali sebesar-besarnya Rp3.000.000,00 setiap bulan;
    2. Pendapatan kotor gabungan orangtua/wali dibagi jumlah anggota keluarga sebesar-besarnya Rp600.000,00 setiap bulannya; dan
    3. Pendidikan orang tua/wali setinggi-tingginya S1 (Strata 1) atau Diploma 4.
  5. Untuk peserta seleksi SNMPTN Ujian Tulis dan Seleksi Mandiri harus memiliki potensi akademik memadai, yaitu masuk dalam 30% terbaik di sekolah (semester 4 dan 5 bagi yang akan lulus tahun 2012 atau semester 5 dan 6 bagi lulusan tahun 2011);
  6. Khusus SNMPTN jalur undangan hanya diperuntukkan bagi yang akan lulus tahun 2012 serta memiliki prestasi akademik tinggi dan konsisten berdasarkan pemeringkatan oleh Kepala Sekolah, yaitu masuk di dalam peringkat terbaik di sekolah yang sama pada semester 3, 4 dan 5 dengan ketentuan berdasarkan akreditasi (akreditasi sekolah untuk SMA dan MA atau akreditasi jurusan/bidang keterampilan untuk SMK dan MK), dengan rincian sebagai berikut:
    1. Akreditasi A: 50% terbaik dan konsisten di semester 3, 4 dan 5;
    2. Akreditasi B: 30% terbaik dan konsisten di semester 3, 4 dan 5;
    3. Akreditasi C: 15% terbaik dan konsisten di semester 3, 4 dan 5;
    4. Lainnya: 5% terbaik dan konsisten di semester 3, 4 dan 5.
  7. Pertimbangan khusus diberikan kepada pendaftar yang memenuhi persyaratan 1 s.d. 6, serta mempunyai prestasi ko-kurikuler maupun ekstra kurikuler paling rendah peringkat ke-3 di tingkat kabupaten/kota atau prestasi non kompetitif lain yang tidak ada pemeringkatan (contoh ketua organisasi siswa sekolah/OSIS);
  8. Potensi akademik dan prestasi yang dimaksud pada butir 5 dan 6 dinyatakan dengan surat rekomendasi Kepala Sekolah/Madrasah atau Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten/Kota sesuai dengan Lampiran 2;
  9. Pendaftar difasilitasi untuk memilih seleksi nasional dan/atau seleksi mandiri apabila mendaftar ke:
    1. Semua jenis seleksi nasional (SNMPTN Undangan dan/atau Ujian Tulis);

Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS) at Leiden University, Netherlands

Leiden University Excellence Scholarship programme (LExS) is a scholarship for excellent Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University. This programme is provided for international students enrolling master’s degree programme and for excellent students from all nationalities enrolling in a Master of Law Advanced Programme or MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy.
 


Eligibility:
1. Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University master's degree programme starting September  2012 or February 2013.
2. All nationalities enrolling in the following programmes starting September 2012 or February 2013:
  • Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in Air and Space Law
  • Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in European and International Business Law 
  • Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in International Tax Law

Scholarship for Undergraduate at Bangor University, United Kingdom

Bangor University, as one of the oldest universities in United Kingdom, provides scholarships for international students who want to study their Bachelor's degree at Bangor University. The candidates will have opportunity to get scholarship of up to £1000.


Eligibility Criteria:
  • Successful candidates who have applied to study at Bangor University before the 1st June 2012 will be eligible for the International Scholarship.

IPSWaT (International Postgraduate Studies in Water Technologies) Scholarships in Germany

The IPSWaT (International Postgraduate Studies in Water Technologies) scholarship programme was launched in 2001. Its aim is to support highly qualified young students and young scientists from Germany and abroad who are interested in attending German universities to acquire Master’s degrees that are international in outlook, related to water technologies, and taught in English.


Who is Eligible?
1.    Applicant should be Bachelor’s degree in a water-related field
2.    Have good English skills. It should be proofed by either TOEFL, IELTS, or Unicert III and above.
3.    Have knowledge of German is an advantage
Requirements 
1. Full CV/resume without gaps 
2. Letter of motivation
3. Copies of all academic certificates/transcripts
4. Copies of references from professional work and qualifications
5. Proof of English skills

How to Apply?
The applicant must apply for admission and send the above required documents to the desired university/supervisor in Germany to which the applicant is applying. It is not possible for candidates to apply to the International Bureau (IB) directly.
After evaluating the applications, the supervisor / director of studies will recommend suitable candidates for a scholarship to the International Bureau of the BMBF (IB/BMBF). Each university/course of study may recommend up to 4 candidates for the last selection round.
Deadlines
Applications for the next and last call for Master-scholarships next year must be submitted by the supervisor to the International Bureau of the BMBF by March 5th, 2012.

RCA-KAIST Master’s Degree Programme, Korea

The RCA-KAIST Master’s Degree Programme of the Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering, KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) is designed to educate and train high-caliber students from the RCA Member States with the aim to preserve and enhance nuclear technology for RCA Member States. The graduates of the programme have been contributing to the developments of nuclear and radiation technology for the graduates’ countries by working in government supported R&D institutions, or government funded enterprises, universities etc. as elite leaders.
This programme has been implemented since March 2003 and 25 students in total from 11 countries have been accepted up to now. To finish the course it takes up to 2 years regularly and students must satisfy certain requirements.

1. RCA Scholarship

RCA-KAIST programme scholarship coverage is as follows ;
-    Application fee (50,000 Korean Won)
-    2 years Tuition (Approx. 8,000,000 Korean Won per academic year)
-    Stipend (900,000 Korean Won/month): to be paid monthly on 25th of each month for up to two years.
-    The economy-class one-way airfare from the nearest airport of the originating country to Incheon, Korea.
NOTE:
-     The local transportation from the air port to Daejeon, and the returning air fare after finishing the course is not covered by the programme.
-     On-campus housing (dormitory) can be arranged but the cost must be borne individually. At present, a shared room by 2 persons at KAIST costs about 600,000 Korean Won/semester (may change slightly) and must be paid at the beginning of each semester.
-     KAIST does not provide family housing for married students during the first year. It can be provided in the second year, but there is a high competition. So students who want to bring his/her family must bear that the rental apartment near KAIST is quite expensive.
-     The meals in the Campus cafeteria cost around 4,000 Korean Won per meal.
-     Medical insurance fee of approximately 40,000 Korean Won/month also to be borne individually.


2. Qualification for Application

Applicants :
-     must have graduated from a 4-year academic institution (or equivalent by the time) and have BA (Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent degree.
-     must be recommended by National RCA Representative of his/her country by asking the Representative to notify the candidate name to the RCARO by email to Jin Kyu Lim, Head of Administration Division at jklim@rcaro.org ;Julie@rcaro.org or by fax to +82-42-864-1626.

3. Application Documents

Application forms can be downloaded from the KAIST homepage. (For more information, please visit the KAIST website. http//www.kaist.edu ==> Admissions or http://admission.kaist.ac.kr ) Applicants are recommended to frequently visit the KAIST homepage or RCA homepage http://www.rcaro.org for being informed of further notices or additional guidance for application.

The following documents must accompany each application.

4.    Two Letters of Recommendation (downloadable) from 2 professors of the educational institute where the applicant attended for BA or MS degree. The letter by superiors or experts of national research institutes or private companies will not be accepted.
5.    Academic transcripts from all the colleges attended
6.    Graduation(or expected) and degree certificates from all the colleges attended
7.    Regular TOEFL (or TOEIC, TEPS, IELTS) score record (for students only from non-English speaking countries defined in the following note) - The test taken more than 2 years prior to application due date may not be accepted.
8.    Copy of Passport : Students should check if their passport has enough period of validity and a copy of the first page of the passport should be sent to Program Assistant of KAIST by e-mail.(Christine Kim, christine8511@kaist.ac.kr)
9.    Optional : Any material demonstrating applicant’s scholastic ability

In the Statement of Financial Resources (one of application documents), you must select Sponsoring Organization, Firm, or Government as a funding source and write down RCA-KAIST Masters Degree Program as the name of sponsor.
.  All documents must be official and original. The offer of admission may be revoked if a candidate's submitted documents are found to be false and counterfeit. Also faxes and photocopies are not considered as the valid application documents. However photocopies of transcript with new fresh valid stamp are considered as original.
.  All documents should be written in English officially so if application documents including academic transcript are written in a language other than English, they should be translated into English with the authorization of a public notary in your country.

4. How to apply
-        Applicants should send their application package directly to the Admission Management Team at KAIST, and complete application package should be arrived at KAIST by the due date given below. The Admission Management Team shall only accept application documents that arrive at KAIST by due dates. They do not take any responsibility for a failure in delivery of application documents by the deadline.
