Colombo Plan Scholarship in Engineering, University of Auckland, New Zealand

The Scholarship was established in 2011 and is funded by alumni of the Faculty of Engineering who studied at The University of Auckland under the Colombo Plan, together with other donors.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist international students who are citizens of Colombo Plan member countries, to study undergraduate or postgraduate engineering programmes at The University of Auckland.

Selection process:
  • Full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or any postgraduate degree programme in the Faculty of Engineering.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded to an international student who is a citizen of one of the following countries: Afganistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the United States of America and Vietnam.

Decision makers
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (or nominee), the Deputy Dean of Engineering (or nominee) and an academic from the Faculty of Engineering appointed by the Dean.

Approximately six weeks after closing date by letter.


Additional Information
  • Although Australia is a member country of the Colombo Plan, Australian citizens do not have international student status in New Zealand and so are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Centenary Taught Masters Scholarship for Overseas Students, United Kingdom

In 2013/14 we are offering one Centenary Taught Masters Scholarship.  The scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees and provides a bursary for living expenses for one academic year.


Who can apply?

You need to be a non-EU national who has not previously studied or resided for more than one year in the UK. The awards are for a full-time masters course only.

1. Eligibility

Applicants applying for a TaiwanICDF scholarship must meet both thegeneral eligibility criteria and be a national of a country on theList of Countries Eligible for TaiwanICDF Scholarship. Applicants must also meet the Regulations Governing Visiting, Resident, and Permanent Residency of Aliens set by ROC(Taiwan) National Immigration Agency. 

2. Application Procedure

The annual application period runs, in principle, from January 1 to March 15 (for 2013 Scholarship programs, the application period runs from January 4 to March 15, 2013)
Applicants should submit the documents listed below to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative in their country. Applicants must ensure that they submit accurate and complete documentation; failure to do so will result in the application not being processed. Please also note that late submissions will not be accepted and/or processed.
  1. A completed application form (completed online, printed out and signed)
    Please note: The online application system will be closed on March 15. Please complete the application as earlier as possible.
  2. A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other document showing proof of nationality.
  3. A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts.
    Please note: If not issued by a Taiwanese educational institution, these documents must be authenticated by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office, or be sealed and delivered by the awarding institution. If these documents are in languages other than Chinese or English, a Chinese and/or English translation should be provided.
  4. A photocopy of applicant’s English proficiency certificate.
    Please note: This means a TOEFL test score or that of another recognized English proficiency exam, or documents certifying that the applicant has graduated from a program where all courses were taught in English. Applicants who are unable to provide such proof of English proficiency due to special circumstances may be assessed for English proficiency by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative via interview or other forms of testing. Applicants whose official national language is English are exempt from needing to supply these documents.
  5. A TaiwanICDF Medical Report(including an HIV test)dated within the the past three months.
  6. Two letters of reference.

Beasiswa S1 Singapura untuk lulusan SMA

The Singapore Scholarship was announced by then Prime Minister of Singapore Mr Goh Chok Tong at the 6th ASEAN Summit in December 1998.

The Scholarship is awarded to students from the other ASEAN member countries and tenable for a full-time undergraduate degree course at one of the three universities in Singapore. All disciplines except for Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture and Law are open to Scholars. The duration of each Scholarship is for three or four years, depending on the discipline.

The award is based on academic merit and places will be allocated by open competition. If necessary, a one-year bridging or foundation programme, in addition to the undergraduate studies, will be provided.

There is no bond imposed on the Scholarship by the Singapore Government. The Scholars are expected to return home to contribute to the development of their countries upon graduation.


Citizens of ASEAN member countries (except Singapore) are eligible to apply for the Singapore Scholarship.

Candidates must have an outstanding academic record, a good command of English and meet the entry requirements for NTU, NUS and SMU. The Singapore Scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis on academic merit.








  • The Singapore Scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to obtain the respective degrees at Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore or Singapore Management University. It covers full tuition fees and a living allowance of S$4,300 (covering meals, transport, textbooks and course materials during school semester) per academic year. In addition, a separate full accommodation allowance based on the room rates at each university or designated hostel will be provided during school semester.
  • One return economy class air ticket is provided for the Scholar’s passage from his/her home country to Singapore for the duration of studies determined by the Singapore Government. No additional assistance will be provided for other travel expenses.
  • A recipient of the Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other Scholarship, Fellowship, Grant or Award without the prior approval of the Singapore Government.
  • There is no bond imposed on the Scholarship by the Singapore Government. The Scholars are expected to return home to contribute to the development of their countries upon graduation.
  • The scholarship is open to applicants who have not gained admission and are currently not studying at the Singapore Universities.
  • The Singapore Government reserves the right to terminate the Scholarship if the Scholar’s academic progress is unsatisfactory or his conduct is in violation of the university's rules and regulations.
Application for the Singapore Scholarship must be submitted on the prescribed application form (The application form and supporting documents must be of A4 size and printed on one side only). Applicants will be required to submit a typed-written essay of about 300-500 words. The essay is an important part of your application.
All supporting documents have to be attached. Those supporting documents that are not in English must have a certified translation in English. Translation and certification of transcripts and academic records have to be done by your educational institutions.

Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS) for Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Students

The Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to attract the best brain from around the world to pursue advanced academic studies in Malaysia. This scholarship aims to support Malaysian Government's effort to attract, motivate and retain talented human capital from abroad.
Talented international students with excellent academic records and outstanding co-curricular backgrounds are welcomed to apply for this scholarship and further their studies in any selected and well-established Malaysian public and private universities. This scholarship is divided into two (2) categories of study: Postgraduate and Post-doctoral Studies.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS), applicants must fit the following criteria:-
  1. Not be more than 40 years of age during application.
  2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, refereed/non refereed journals, portfolio and patent copyright. The Post-Doctoral candidate must have excellent reputation in research and possesses knowledge related to the research to be carried out.
  3. Took one of the following English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before the date of application. The list of tests and minimum scores required:
    1. IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or
    2. TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
  4. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination is to be borne by the applicants.
  5. Wrote a proposal that is relevant to the needs and interests of Malaysia (research-based programme only).
  6. Has applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application or has a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with the universities in Malaysia).

GENERAL CONDITION OF AWARD
  1. Scholarship holder must undertake full-time studies for postgraduate and post-doctoral studies at a campus of Malaysian Universities.It is the responsibility of the scholarship holders to confirm admission to the university.
  2. Scholarship holders must not change their programme during tenure of the scholarship except with written permission from their university and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
  3. Scholarship holders must follow the approved programmes and abide by the university’s rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
  4. Any suspension from the university will result in immediate suspension of award. Monthly allowances are not payable during suspension, including suspension due to illness.
  5. It is the responsibility of successful candidates to apply for and meet the requirements for the issuing of an appropriate entry visa including medical examination. The offer of the scholarship does not guarantee the granting of a visa.
  6. Scholarship holders must maintain satisfactory progress and good standing as stipulated by their host university and degree programme, or the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  7. The scholarships are tenable in Malaysian universities and research must be carried out in Malaysia.
  8. Scholarship holders are not allowed to take any paid employment during their tenure unless with written approval from the host university.

Beasiswa Pemerintah Brunei Darussalam

Pemerintah Brunei Darussalam menawarkan beasiswa kuliah di tiga perguruan tinggi ternama di negara penghasil minyak itu untuk tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Beasiswa ditawarkan untuk jenjang diploma, sarjana, master sampai doktoral di Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) dan Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB).

Kandidat harus berusia 18-25 tahun untuk program S-1 dan harus berusia di bawah 35 tahun untuk mengikuti program S-2. Beasiswa akan menanggung biaya kuliah, visa (dari luar Asia) dan tiket pulang pergi dari negara asal kandidat ke Brunei, uang saku dan biaya hidup, tunjangan buku, dan biaya lain sesuai kebutuhan di kampus yang dituju.

Beasiswa hanya akan diberikan sesuai dengan durasi waktu studi, yaitu 3 tahun untuk diploma di bidang ilmu kesehatan, 4 tahun untuk jenjang sarjana, 1-2 tahun untuk jenjang master dan 3 tahun untuk program doktoral.

PRESTASI adalah program beasiswa penuh yang dibiayai oleh United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Indonesia dan didedikasikan bagi calon pemimpin masa depan Indonesia untuk menempuh pendidikan S2 (Master) di Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia (khusus sector Kesehatan)

A.  Persyaratan Umum
1.  Warga Negara Indonesia, tidak memiliki kewarganegaraan ganda.
2.  Bukan pegawai USAID atau kontraktor USAID atau lembaga penerima dana USAID (grantee).
3.  Masih memiliki masa kerja minimal 10  tahun  sebelum memasuki masa pensiun, dihitung dari selesainya masa studi.

Hasil tes TOEFL prediksi tidak diperbolehkan. Hasil tes TOEFL atau IELTS yang dilampirkan masih berlaku di saat pendaftaran ditutup.
8.  Surat referensi asli dari 3 pemberi referensi, dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut:
-  Aplikan harus melampirkan surat referensi yang diberikan oleh:
  • Atasan di tempat kerja yang mengenal kapasitas professional Aplikan.
  • Dosen atau pembimbing akademik di kampus tempat Aplikan pernah belajar.
  • Atasan atau Dosen atau orang yang mengetahui kegiatan sosial Aplikan.
-  Surat referensi disarankan diisi dengan bahasa Inggris.
-  Surat referensi bersifat  rahasia.  Dari pemberi referensi, surat tersebut dikembalikan kepada aplikan  dalam amplop tertutup  dengan  dibubuhi tanda tangan pemberi referensi di perbatasan antara lidah dan badan amplop.
-  Pemberi referensi dapat mengirimkan langsung surat referensi  via pos atau diantar langsung  ke Panitia
Seleksi dengan alamat yang sama dengan alamat pengiriman formulir aplikasi. Surat referensi yang diterima oleh Panitia Seleksi  tidak boleh  melewati batas akhir penerimaan formulir aplikasi  yaitu 12 April 2013. Surat referensi tidak boleh dikirimkan via email atau fax.
9.  Bagi  aplikan  yang  memilih untuk studi  di  Amerika Serikat  (semua sektor),  wajib melampirkan surat izin dari Bagian Kepegawaian yang menyatakan bahwa, apabila terpilih, maka aplikan diperbolehkan mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan program USAID Scholarship PRESTASI Program dan  akan  berangkat studi sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan oleh USAID Scholarship PRESTASI Program.
Bagi aplikan yang memilih untuk studi  di Indonesia  (khusus sektor Kesehatan),  wajib melampirkan surat izin dari Bagian Kepegawaian yang menyatakan bahwa, apabila terpilih, maka aplikan akan dibebaskan dari tugas selama menempuh studi.
Surat izin dapat dikirim terpisah dari paket formulir aplikasi dan diterima oleh Panitia Seleksi  tidak  melewati
batas akhir penerimaan formulir aplikasi yaitu 12 April 2013.

Beastudi Etos tahun 2013

Beastudi Etos, adalah Program investasi SDM, yang fokus pada pembinaan, pendampingan dan pemberdayaan mahasiswa untuk Indonesia unggul dan berdaya.
Beastudi Etos memiliki visi: Terdepan dalam membentuk SDM berkarakter untuk Indonesia unggul dan berdaya. Beastudi Etos ingin melahirkan generasi-generasi excellent bagi bangsa ini. Beastudi Etos berusaha menghadirkan pejuang-pejuang baru yang gigih memperjuangkan masa depan bangsa ini, dengan keunggulan dan kemandirian yang mereka miliki.

Untuk menghasilkan generasi yang hebat ini, Beastudi Etos memiliki misi:
  • Menerapkan manajemen mutu dalam pengelolaan program beastudi etos
  • Mengembangkan dan menerapkan kurikulum beastudi etos yang berbasis karakter dan potensi individu

Beastudi Etos saat ini tersebar di 13 wilayah dan 15 PTN dengan penerima manfaat sebanyak 399 orang dan 612 alumni. Adapun 13 wilayah persebaran program beastudi Etos adalah Aceh, Medan, Padang, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya, Samarinda, Makassar dan Ambon. Dengan PTN sebagai berikut : Universitas Syahkuala, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Airlangga, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Mulawarman, Universitas Hasanudin dan Universitas Pattimura.

Fasilitas yang diberikan :
  • SPP semester I dan II
  • Uang saku Rp. 500.000 per bulan selama empat tahun
  • Akomodasi asrama selama tiga tahun. Asrama adalah media pembinaan dan pendampingan intensif para etoser guna mencetak pribadi dan komunitas produktif. Asrama juga dikelola untuk meningkatkan kebersamaan dan loyalitas etoser dan menjadi bagian dari sistem kerja utama program Beastudi Etos
  • Pelatihan, pembinaan dan pendampingan  selama 4 tahun. Secara umum ada tiga bagian pembinaan, yaitu pembinaan asrama (harian), pembinaan rutin (pekanan) dan pembinaan nasioal (tahunan). Pelatihan, pembinaan dan pendampingan ini dilakukan berdasarkan kurikulum berbasis karakter dan potensi individu guna pengembangan prestasi.

Beasiswa S2 & S3, Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)

Pemerintah Belanda kembali menawarkan Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) di tahun 2013. Program ini menawarkan beasiswa penuh bagi para profesional dari berbagai negara untuk mengikuti pelatihan atau studi lanjutan di Negeri Kincir Angin itu.

Beasiswa NFP terdiri dari beasiswa untuk program studi S-2, S-3, kursus singkat dan kursus lanjutan, termasuk program e-learning. Kandidat yang berminat pada salah satu program tetap harus memenuhi kriteria umum berikut ini:

- harus sudah memiliki pengalaman kerja minimal tiga tahun.
- direkomendasikan oleh pimpinan yang juga akan menjamin tetap menggaji dan menerima kandidat saat pulang dari studi Belanda.
- telah memenuhi persyaratan dan diterima oleh salah satu institusi pendidikan tinggi di Belanda yang masuk dalam daftar NFP.
- melamar program studi yang sesuai dengan bidang yang ditekuni.

Beasiswa mencakup biaya kuliah dan tunjangan hanya berupa pelengkap gaji yang tetap kandidat terima dari institusi tempat bekerja sekarang untuk biaya hidup, biaya visa, akomodasi, asuransi, dan biaya penelitian tesis.

Sebelum mendaftar, bacalah baik-baik semua informasi yang disediakan di laman Study in Holland. Persiapkan seluruh dokumen yang dibutuhkan dengan baik, yaitu fotokopi paspor atau kartu identitas lain, pernyataan dari pimpinan kerja, riwayat kerja, surat motivasi dan pernyataan dari pemerintah setempat (tidak wajib).

Semua dokumen yang menjadi syarat harus dikirimkan melalui aplikasi Scholarships Online (SOL). Jangan lupa, tenggat waktu pendaftaran terdekat berakhir tanggal 5 Februari 2013.

Chinese Government Scholarship for Postgraduate Students

In order to increase the cooperation and understanding between the people of China and other countries, develop outstanding international talent,South China University of Technology (SCUT) will provide 40 full scholarship for full-time postgraduate studies under the Chinese government scholarship program.

I. ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationalsand be in good health.
2. Education background and age limit:
a. Applicants studying to earn a Master’s degree must have a Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
b. Applicants studying to earn a Doctorate degree must have a Master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

Beasiswa S-1, S-2, dan S-3 dari Pemerintah India

Tak hanya Amerika Serikat dan sejumlah negara di Eropa, negara-negara di Asia juga sudah menjadi opsi yang diperhitungkan oleh para pelajar yang ingin melanjutkan studi ke luar negeri. India salah satunya.

Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) kembali menawarkan beasiswa dari pemerintah India untuk para pelajar Indonesia yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi, mulai dari S-1, S-2 sampai S-3. Beasiswa terbuka untuk semua bidang, kecuali kedokteran, kedokteran gigi, keperawatan dan bidang lain yang terkait kesehatan.

Kandidat S-1 dan S-2 bisa memilih bidang-bidang seni, arsitektur, literatur, dan bisnis serta teknik dan pertanian. Kandidat S-3 bisa memilih semua bidang yang tersedia di universitas di India.

Beasiswa ini meliputi biaya kuliah, biaya hidup dan uang saku, biaya perjalanan pulang pergi Indonesia-India, subsidi pembelian buku serta biaya lainnya, termasuk biaya tur tahunan.

Untuk mendaftar, kandidat harus memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris yang baik. Untuk memastikan kemampuan kandidat, ICCR akan menyelenggarakan tes kompetensi bahasa Inggris di Kedutaan Besar India untuk Republik Indonesia di Jakarta.

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program for Mid-Career Professionals, Aminef

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowships enable Indonesian mid-career professionals to participate in non-degree programs that combine academic course work at the graduate level with professional development activities in the U.S. for a period of one academic year (9 months). Candidates are typically administrators in leadership positions with a minimum of five years of work experience who represent either the public or non-profit private sectors, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) who are committed to public service.

Applicants will possess:
  • a Sarjana (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (4.0 scale). S2 graduates are also welcomed to apply.
  • a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 525 or IELTS of 5.5 or IBT TOEFL score of 70/71. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.

PRIORITY DISCIPLINES
Agricultural Development/Agricultural Economics; Communications/Journalism; Economic Development; Finance and Banking; Human Resources Management; Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration; Technology Policy and Management; Urban & Regional Planning; and Public Health Policy and Management (including HIV/AIDS policy and prevention, drug abuse education, treatment, and prevention). Researchers, treatment providers, prevention specialists, and program planners at governmental or non-governmental organizations will also be considered).

BEASISWA S2 LUAR NEGERI KEMENTERIAN KOMINFO TAHUN 2013
