Beasiswa Pemerintah Kota Lhokseumawe

Pemerintah Kota Lhokseumawe menyediakan bantuan Biaya Pendidikan untuk mahasiswa Lhokseumawe yang menempuh pendidikan di BANDA ACEH untuk prodi D-3/S-1, dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut :
  1. Memiliki IPK minimal 2,75 (PTN), dan minimal 3,00 (PTS);
  2. Belum bekerja tetap dan tidak sedang menerima beasiswa/tunjangan ikatan dinas dari sumber lain manapun;
  3. Berasal dari keluarga yang kehidupan sosial ekonominya kurang mampu;
  4. a. Bagi mahasiswa program S1 Minimal semester II dan maksimal semester VIII.
    b. Bagi mahasiswa program Diploma III minimal  semester II dan maksimal semester VI.
  5. Periode Januari s/d Desember 2012 belum dapat menyelesaikan studi dan tidak mengambil cuti akademik;
Selanjutnya, membuat permohonan secara perorangan kepada Ketua Umum Ikatan Mahasiswa Pemuda Kota Lhokseumawe (IMPKL) Banda Aceh, dengan melampirkan dokumen sebagai berikut :
  • Mengisi Formulir Aplikasi Beasiswa (Download disini);
  • Mengisi Surat Permohonan Beasiswa (Download disini);
  • Fotokopi KTM;
  • Fotokopi KTP Warga Kota LHOKSEUMAWE;
  • Fotokopi Kartu Keluarga Warga Kota LHOKSEUMAWE;
  • Surat Keterangan masih aktif kuliah tahun 2012 dari pimpinan Fakultas (ASLI);
  • Fotokopi Kartu Hasil Studi (KHS) yang telah dilegalisasi oleh pihak berwenang, semester ganjil tahun akademik 2011/2012;
  • Fotokopi KRS semester genap tahun akademik 2011/2012 (terbaru);
  • Surat Keterangan Kurang Mampu / Surat Keterangan Gaji Orang Tua dari kepala desa/lurah Lhokseumawe dimana orang tua calon penerima beasiswa berdomisili;
  • Fotokopi buku rekening Bank Aceh atas nama sendiri dan masih aktif serta online (WAJIB REKENING BANK ACEH);
  • Pasfoto berwarna ukuran 3 x 4 cm, 3 lembar;
Seluruh berkas dimasukkan ke dalam Map dengan ketentuan sbb:
a. Untuk D-3 : menggunakan map berwarna BIRU
b. Untuk S-1 : menggunakan map berwarna MERAH

dan dikirim ke alamat : Sekretariat IMPKL Banda Aceh, Anjungan Kota Lhokseumawe, Komplek PKA, Jl. Ratu Safiatuddin, Lamprit, Banda Aceh, Setiap hari, Jam 08.00 s/d 24.00 WIB.
Masa penerimaan permohonan dimulai dari tanggal 8 Juni 2012 dan ditutup tanggal 10 Juni 2012.
Permohonan yang tidak lengkap dan yang diterima setelah masa pengumuman ini tidak akan diproses, serta berkas menjadi dokumen IMPKL Banda Aceh. Keputusan Tim Seleksi Beasiswa bersifat final, mengikat dan tidak dapat diganggu gugat.

Architecture, Construction & Surveying Merit Scholarships at Robert Gordon University, UK

The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment is pleased to offer a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students who wish to study at the School from September 2012.

Overview

Please read through the following information carefully.
  • Number of awards in academic year 2012/13: 3
  • Value of awards in academic year 2012/13: one full scholarship between MSc Construction Project Management and Pg Dip / MSc Architectural Studies, and two scholarships of £5,000 across the postgraduate programme
  • In the event of a lower number of students attaining the merit criteria, the Scholarship fund will be divided equally among qualifying students.
  • Who can apply: You may be an international student or you may be a UK / EU student wishing to study on a full-cost course. There is a list of eligible courses in section 2 below.

How to Apply

  • We must receive your completed application no later than 29 June 2012.
  • Please note that in order to be considered for a scholarship, you must already hold an offer of a place to study on an eligible course at the School commencing September 2012; you must therefore ensure that your application for a place is submitted well in advance of 29 June 2012.
  • As part of the application process you are required to write a short statement in support of your application, which should address the following points:
    • Why you are applying for the scholarship
    • How you will benefit from the opportunities that being given the award will provide
    • How you would contribute to the University community during your studies here
    • You may refer to activities, achievements and personal qualities which are particularly relevant to your application.
  • You should also include:
    • A scanned transcript of your highest academic qualification
    • A scanned copy of your IELTS/TOEFL certificate or other English language qualification
    • A scanned copy of your University offer letter (or email if you have not received your letter)
    • A portfolio of relevant work if applying for PgDip / MSc Architectural Studies
  • Applications must be complete. Applications which are incomplete, missing required data or are illegible will be considered invalid. You may only apply for an award once. Multiple applications will not be considered.

Awards Criteria
The School's award panel will meet in July 2012 to consider all eligible scholarship applications received by the due date.
The School will assess all applications against the following criteria:
  • Previous academic record and your suitability for postgraduate study in School, ie:
    • Class of degree / CGPA / final score of first degree
    • Relevance of your first degree to the course you are applying for
    • The standing of the previous academic institution attended
    • Any prizes or awards given to you in your first degree
    • Portfolio (PgDip / MSc Architectural Studies only)
  • Relevant industrial or professional experience
  • Evidence of workplace experience that is relevant to the course you are applying for
  • Personal achievements - evidence of personal achievements in your life to date which indicate your ability to contribute to the wider life of the University community during your studies and the professional community that you will be joining on graduation.
  • In the event that 2 applications are scored identically and only one award is available, the panel will award the scholarship to the first application received, using the date of receipt in the University as the relevant date.

After Applying

Notification and Acceptance

  • Decisions will be announced by Friday 27 July 2012.
  • Successful applicants will be informed in the first instance by email.
  • Applicants will be required to respond by email to accept the offer. A formal scholarship offer letter will then be issued and despatched by post. Failure to accept the offer will lead to the scholarship offer being withdrawn and offered to an alternative applicant. 

Appeals Process

All decisions on scholarship applications will be made by the School's Scholarship Panel. All decisions are final and we cannot enter into correspondence with unsuccessful applicants. There are no grounds for appeal against an unsuccessful application with the following exception:
  • Where there is evidence of alleged improper conduct or irregular procedure during the scholarship awards process.
If you wish to appeal on the above ground, you should write in the first instance to the Head of School, outlining your evidence of alleged improper conduct or irregular procedure during the awards process. The Head of School will respond to you within 20 working days.
Terms and Conditions
All scholarships are awarded in the form of a discount on fees paid.
A scholarship will be withdrawn if:
  • You fail to accept the offer within the time permitted.
  • Your scholarship or University application is found to contain incomplete or inaccurate information.
  • You are found to have committed academic misconduct once enrolled at the University.
  • You are found to have committed non-academic misconduct once enrolled at the University.
  • You fail to pass module assignments or end of module exams at the first attempt once enrolled on your course.
  • You defer your offer of a place, suspend your studies, withdraw from the University or are suspended or withdrawn from the University.
  • You fail to make payment for fees due to the University within 23 days of the due date.
  • In the event that a scholarship is withdrawn, you will need to pay the full fees due for your course.

International Development Scholarship at University of East London, UK

The International Development Scholarship in association with International Students House (ISH) is a combined tuition fee, residential and maintenance scholarship offered to an international student from a developing country, who intends to make a positive contribution to the development of their home country as result of completing the MSc NGO and Development Management Programme, who would otherwise be unable to pursue the Programme for financial reasons.
The Scholarship will be offered annually and is the product of a partnership between International Students House, one of London's largest residences for International Students, and the University of East London, a global learning community with over 28,000 students from over 120 countries world-wide.

Eligibility Criteria

Conditions of Scholarship

The University at its sole discretion reserves the right to allocate and administer the scholarship award as appropriate and conditions may be subject to change.
  • The scholar must enrol on the MSc NGO and Development Management Programme for the intake stated on their Scholarship Offer Letter. The Scholarship cannot be deferred.
  • The scholar must comply with the terms and conditions of admittance and the University's Regulations, including our Attendance Policy. Where there is a failure to comply then the scholarship award may be withdrawn in whole or part.
  • The scholar will be expected to complete their programme of study successfully within the time frame outlined on their Scholarship Offer Letter. The scholarship award does not cover additional costs for any re-takes of module/s.
  • The scholar will be expected to participate in current and future promotional activities and as such will be interviewed and photographed by the UEL marketing department. The scholar will also contribute from time to time to the promotion of UEL by supporting events organised for scholars and events organised by the International Office. The scholar agrees no payment will be made by the University to the scholar for their participation in promotional activities.
  • The scholar assigns to the University any intellectual property or other rights which are created as part of the promotional material.
  • Scholars will be expected to donate up to 10 hours per month of service to ISH or UEL International in some way, such as representing ISH at events.
  • Accommodation is a single occupancy room in ISH halls of residence. It will be the scholar's responsibility to accept the room offer within the specified time frame. The award will not cover any alternative accommodation and no payment in lieu will be made where the ISH single occupancy room is not occupied. Scholars are not expected to bring family members to the UK, by nature of the eligibility criteria with regards to financial hardship.
  • Food will be provided for up to 12 months. The scholar will be provided with a ‘top up card’ for meals at ISH. All additional meals are to be paid for using the monthly subsistence allowance. No payment will be made in lieu of food vouchers that are not used.
  • The scholar will be provided with £450 per month for subsistence, for up to 12 months, to cover travel, meals at UEL and other living expenses.
  • Return flights to the UK from the scholar’s country of residence will be booked by UEL. Flights for the return journey will be booked for within a month of the programme end date.

Tier 4 (General) Student Visa

Where necessary under UK Border Agency (UKBA) regulations, scholars will be required to apply for prior entry clearance (Tier 4 General Student). Student immigration requirements for entry into the UK are operated on a points based system. Scholars must ensure that they meet all the requirements for entry within their application, in line with the UKBA’s Tier 4 Policy Guidance. Scholars should only proceed with their acceptance of the award if they are confident that they meet these requirements. A letter will be provided to the scholar by UEL for use in the Tier 4 application process, as evidence of maintenance. The scholarship award will not be made, or if made will be withdrawn where a Tier 4 student visa is not granted, or is subsequently withdrawn.

The University reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship award if the conditions outlined above are not met.

How and when to apply

Applicants must hold an offer for the MSc NGO and Development Management Programme before applying for this scholarship.
In addition to submitting an online application, you are required to email a supporting testimonial/ reference from a previous employer or academic tutor demonstrating that you meet the criteria, including financial status. This should be submitted by email to scholarships@uel.ac.uk after you have submitted the online application.

Business School Postgraduate Scholarship at Bournemouth University, UK


This scholarship is offered to students who have applied to study any MA/MSc course in the Business School beginning in September 2012 and January 2013.

School of Computer Science and IT International PhD Scholarship, RMIT University, Australia

If you are an excellent international student wishing to commence a PhD at the School of Computer Science and IT, this scholarship provides tuition fees and living costs.

Value and duration

The scholarship will cover PhD fees for up to three and a half years plus living costs of $15,000. A paid teaching assistantship may form part of the scholarship.

Eligibility
