MTCP Scholarship for International Students, Malaysia

The MTCP Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies provides opportunities for students to pursue advanced academic study in Malaysia. This scholarship is a Government-to-Government basis, without any bond imposed by Malaysia. Scholarships are intended for promising candidates who may be expected to make a significant contribution to their own countries on their return from Malaysia. The duration of the award is 36 months for PhD and between 12 to 24 months for Masters Programme.

 
ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

  1. Not be more than 45 years of age during application.
  2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, refereed/non refereed journals, portfolio and patent copyright. The Post-Doctoral candidate must have excellent reputation in research and possesses knowledge related to the research to be carried out.
  3. Took one of the following English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before the date of application. The list of tests and minimum scores required:
    1. IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or
    2. TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
  4. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination is to be borne by the applicants
  5. Wrote a proposal that is relevant to the needs and interests of Malaysia (research-based programme only)
  6. Has applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application or has a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with the universities in Malaysia).

VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIPS

Each scholarship consists of:-
  1. Air tickets from recipient’s capital city to Malaysia
  2. An approved tuition fees
  3. Monthly maintenance allowance
  4. Annual grant for books and internal travel
  5. Medical / Health Insurance
  6. Installation and Termination grant
  7. Thesis allowance
  8. Visa

PRIORITY STUDY AREAS

Field of studies is in the following priority areas:
  1. Science and Engineering
  2. Agriculture and Fisheries
  3. Economics and Islamic Finance
  4. Information and Communication Technology
  5. Biotechnology
  6. Biosecurity and Food Safety
  7. Infrastructure and Utility
  8. Environmental Studies
  9. Health not including nursing, medicine, clinical pharmacy.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applications will be considered according to the following selection criteria:-
  1. High-level academic achievement
  2. The quality of the research proposal and its potential contribution towards advancement of technology and human well-being.
  3. Excellent communication, writing and reading skills in English Language

GENERAL CONDITION OF AWARD
  1. Scholarship holder must undertake full-time studies for postgraduate studies at a campus of Malaysian Universities. It is the responsibility of the scholarship holders to confirm admission to the university.
  2. Scholarship holders must not change their programme during tenure of the scholarship except with written permission from their university and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
  3. Scholarship holders must follow the approved programmes and abide by the university’s rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
  4. Any suspension from the university will result in immediate suspension of award. Monthly allowances are not payable during suspension, including suspension due to illness.
  5. It is the responsibility of successful candidates to apply for and meet the requirements for the issuing of an appropriate entry visa including medical examination. The offer of the scholarship does not guarantee the granting of a visa.
  6. Scholarship holders must maintain satisfactory progress and good standing as stipulated by their host university and degree programme, or the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  7. The scholarships are tenable in Malaysian universities and research must be carried out in Malaysia.
  8. Scholarship holders are not allowed to take any paid employment during their tenure unless with written approval from the host university.

Fairview Scholarship for International Students

Fairview International School is offering scholarships for a three-year full-time work based Masters programme with on-site placements in a network of Fairview International Schools. The Masters of Arts in Education is taught in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, UK.

MA/MSc Scholarships at Aston University, UK

The School of Languages and Social Sciences offers 3 x £2000 bursaries towards the cost of the MA tuition fees for students with native speaker competence in English. In return, the students will complete up to six hours a week pastoral work for the School.

Top 10 Sekolah Bisnis di Eropa

Tak bisa dipungkiri, negara-negara di Eropa menjadi tujuan favorit bagi kandidat dari seluruh dunia untuk meraih gelar Master of Business Administration (MBA). Program master dalam bidang ekonomi, termasuk administrasi bisnis, disebut-sebut sebagai program favorit yang memang dicari di Eropa.

Namun, tentu saja dari banyak sekolah bisnis yang ada di Eropa, ada yang terbaik. Sekitar akhir tahun lalu, Telegraph mencatat ada 10 sekolah bisnis dengan program MBA full-time terbaik menurut survei Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2012/2013 terhadap reputasi sejumlah perusahaan bertaraf internasional. Apa saja?

10. Judge Business School, University of Cambridge di Cambridge, Inggris

Sekolah bisnis ini masuk ke dalam jajaran sekolah bisnis terbaik karena setiap mahasiswa yang diterima  rata-rata memiliki pengalaman kerja selama tujuh tahun.

Dari nilai 100, perusahaan-perusahaan internasional memberi skor 92,8. Rata-rata gaji para lulusannya dalam tiga bulan setelah lulus adalah 94.000 dolar AS. Ada sekitar 26 persen mahasiswa perempuan dan 94 persen mahasiswa internasional.

9. HEC Paris MBA di Paris, Perancis

Perancis terkenal dengan dua sekolah bisnis yang masuk dalam daftar "top 10" ini. Para mahasiswa yang diterima adalah orang-orang yang cerdas dan selalu punya nilai Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) yang lebih tinggi dari sekolah bisnis selain tiga besar di daftar ini.

Rata-rata nilai GMAT para mahasiswanya adalah 690. GMAT adalah tes standar untuk menentukan kemampuan seseorang dalam ilmu manajemen bisnis.

Perusahaan-perusahaan internasional memberi nilai 93,1 (skala 100) kepada HEC Paris MBA. Rata-rata gaji para lulusannya dalam tiga bulan setelah lulus belum tercatat namun para mahasiswanya memiliki pengalaman kerja paling tidak enam tahun. Ada 27 persen mahasiswa perempuan dan 85 persen mahasiswa internasional dari total mahasiswa yang ada.

8. IMD di Lausanne, Swiss
Sekolah bisnis yang menjadi satu-satunya wakil Swiss ini memiliki para lulusan yang unggul soal gaji dibanding sekolah bisnis lain dalam daftar "top 10" ini. Rata-rata gaji para lulusannya dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus adalah 125.000 dolar AS.

Sekolah bisnis ini memiliki mahasiswa internasional yang paling banyak karena mencapai 97 persen dari total mahasiswanya. Selain itu, ada 29 persen mahasiswa perempuan. Namun, perusahaan-perusahaan internasional memberi nilai 96 saja dari skala 100.

7. ESADE Business School di Barcelona, Spanyol
ESADE adalah satu dari tiga sekolah bisnis di Spanyol yang masuk dalam peringkat 10 besar ini. Sekolah bisnis ini juga memiliki cabang di Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Perusahaan-perusahaan internasional memberi skor 97,4 (skala 100). Para lulusannya memiliki rata-rata gaji 89.000 dolar AS dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus. Ada 31 persen mahasiswa perempuan dan 94 persen mahasiswa internasional. Rata-rata pengalaman kerja para mahasiswanya adalah lima tahun.

6. SDA Bocconi School of Management di Milan, Italia
Sekolah bisnis terbaik di Italia ini menjadi favorit saat penerimaan mahasiswa baru. Perusahaan-perusahaan internasional memberi skor 98 untuk sekolah bisnis ini.

Rata-rata gaji para lulusannya dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus adalah 93.000 dolar AS dan ada sekitar 33 persen mahasiswa perempuan.

5. IE Business School di Madrid, Spanyol
IE diminati oleh kandidat internasional dan para kandidat perempuan. Setidaknya ada 89 persen mahasiswa internasional dan 33 persen mahasiswa perempuan dari total mahasiswa.

Perusahaan-perusahaan internasioanl memberi nilai 99,1. Rata-rata gaji para lulusannya dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus adalah 82.000 dolar AS. Sayangnya, sekolah bisnis ini masih hanya memiliki 67 persen mahasiswa internasional.

4. IESE Business School, University of Navarra di Barcelona dan Madrid, Spanyol
Ini adalah sekolah bisnis terbaik di Spanyol dengan dua kantor besar, masing-masing di Barcelona dan Madrid.

Perusahaan-perusahaan internasioanl memberi nilai 99,7. Dengan rata-rata kerja para mahasiswa barunya 4 tahun, para lulusannya memiliki rata-rata gaji mencapai 111.000 dolar AS dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus.

Sementara itu, ada 80 persen mahasiswa internasional dan 29 persen mahasiswa perempuan.

3. Said Business School, University of Oxford di Oxford, Inggris

Oxford melampaui Cambridge dalam hal sekolah bisnis karena para lulusannya yang terkenal di dunia. Pasalnya, banyak lulusannya yang langsung memperoleh gaji enam digit dalam tiga bulan pertamanya setelah lulus.

Rata-rata, para mahasiswa barunya memiliki pengalaman kerja selama enam tahun. Namun, meski memiliki porsi 95 persen mahasiswa internasional, Said Business School Oxford hanya memiliki 24 persen mahasiswa perempuan.

2. London Business School di London, Inggris
Sebagai sekolah bisnis terbaik di Inggris, London Business School mencetak nilai sempurna di dalam survei QS. Para lulusannya memiliki rata-rata gaji sebesar 113.000 dolar AS dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus.

Para mahasiswa barunya rata-rata memiliki pengalaman kerja 5 tahun. ADa 28 persen mahasiswa perempuan dan 89 persen mahasiswa internasional.

1. INSEAD di Paris, Perancis
INSEAD adalah sekolah bisnis terbaik menurut survei ini. INSEAD menjadi yang terbaik karena tak hanya meraih penilaian sempurna dari perusahaan-perusahaan internasional, para mahasiswanya memiliki rata-rata nilai GMAT yang tertinggi, yaitu 702.

Para lulusannya memilki rata-rata gaji sebesar 107.000 dolar AS dalam tiga bulan pertama setelah lulus, sementara para mahasiswa barunya paling tidak memiliki enam tahun pengalaman kerja. Ada 33 persen mahasiswa perempuan dan 90 persen mahasiswa internasional.

Buku bertajuk "Belajar ke Luar Negeri" ini diharapkan bisa menjadi pedoman bagi setiap mahasiswa yang berniat belajar di luar negeri. Panduan belajar dibuat terpisah berdasarkan negara tujuan studi sehingga calon pelajar bisa mengenal kondisi negara yang dituju, mulai dari identitas negara, karakteristik budaya dan gaya hidup, akomodasi dan transportasi yang tersedia hingga cara bertahan hidup di negara tujuan masing-masing dan kesempatan memperoleh beasiswa.

Dalam rilis yang diterima Kompas.com, Kamis (3/1/2-13), Koordinator PPI Dunia,

Untuk seri pertama, panduan studi di enam negara, yaitu Austria, Republik Ceko, Portugal, Perancis, Rusia dan Swedia, diterbitkan dalam 213 halaman. Uniknya, setiap bab ditulis oleh para mahasiswa dari negara tujuan studi masing-masing yang kemudian digabungkan oleh seorang koordinator. Penggabungan bab dalam seri pertama buku ini, misalnya, dikoordinir oleh Hery Dian dari PPI Ceko.

Menariknya, PPI Dunia menerbitkan buku panduan ini dalam format PDF. Buku elektronik ini bisa diunduh dengan bebas melalui laman resmi PPI masing-masing negara tujuan studi, misalnya PPI Perancis atau PPI Ceko atau bisa dibaca online di laman ini.

Students must be on a full-time Master's programme (not MBA) and be self-funded. Students must be studying based at the University of Bradford i.e. distance learning students are not eligible to apply.

How much could I get?

Full tuition fees and accommodation in The Green will be covered plus £3,500 per annum living costs to be paid in three instalments – October, January and April. Each scholarship is worth approximately £20,000.
There will be a minimum of 3 scholarships available.

Tips for a successful application from the scholarship panel

  • You must explain how the situation in your country has affected you personally. Don't just describe the situation in your country.
  • Please do not send a CV but include any evidence you have to support your personal statement. We may request evidence from you at a later date if your application is short listed.
  • Don't focus on your academic qualifications unless it is relevant to your application.
  • The Scholarship is for a substantial amount of funding so we expect to see students giving time and consideration to their application and providing us with detailed information about their situation.

Application forms

All parts of the form must be completed - if you don't then your application will not be considered.
Please remember that the Scholarship panel will only have your form to by which to judge your application so try to put as much relevant information in there as possible.
You may want to highlight how the situation in your country has specifically affected you and your family and why you wish to take up a course here in Bradford.

Closing date

All completed forms must be received by Monday 10 June 2013 - applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
You must provide an offer letter from the University dated no later than Friday 17 May 2013. 
Please apply for your place to study as soon as possible to allow plenty of time to meet these deadlines. We will not consider late applications or offer letters dated after the 17 May 2013.

Beasiswa D3 & S1 Pemkab Aceh Utara

Mahasiswa Aceh Utara yang ingin memperoleh beasiswa dari Pemkab setempat dipersilakan mengantar berkasnya ke kantor Majelis Pendidikan Daerah (MPD) Aceh Utara. Karena sesuai surat Bupati Aceh Utara, MPD setempat adalah lembaga yang menerima dan menyeleksi berkas beasiswa untuk mahasiswa strata satu (S1) dan diploma III yang sedang menyusun tugas akhir (skripsi/laporan).

Dana itu kita prioritaskan bagi mahasiswa kurang mampu,” jelas Ketua MPD Aceh Utara, Ibrahim Bewa, menjawab Serambi Rabu (20/2) terkait permintaan sejumlah mahasiswa agar Pemkab Aceh Utara memperjelas pengumuman beasiswa itu.

Kepada mahasiswa yang ingin mengajukan berkas beasiswa itu, Ibrahim berharap dapat melampirkan syarat yang telah ditentukan. “Kita rencanakan beasiswa kita berikan 2 juta rupiah per mahasiswa. Namun, jika mahasiswa yang mengajukan berkas tidak banyak, jumlah beasiswanya bisa bertambah,” ujar Ibrahim.

Ia menargetkan proses penerimaan beasiswa bisa selesai dalam waktu sebulan. Sebab, setelah pengumuman penerimaan berkas ditutup, pihaknya akan memverifikasi berkas tersebut. “Jika ada mahasiswa yang belum melengkapi persyaratan, akan kita beri waktu kembali untuk melengkapinya. Tapi, jika sampai batas waktu yang ditentukan tak juga melengkapi, dianggar gugur,” katanya. Ibrahim berharap beasiswa itu nantinya akan dapat meringankan beban mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir.

Beasiswa S2 Ilmu Komputer di Italia

University Ca' Foscari Venezia (Unive), Italia, membuka program beasiswa magister dalam bidang ilmu komputer bagi pelajar internasional. Program magister ini menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar, meliputi teori dan praktik dengan spektrum luas pada kajian Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi, serta memungkinkan mahasiswanya untuk mengejar gelar tambahan dalam bidang statistika.

1. Information Sciences and Intelligent Systems, yakni membedah teknik dalam pola analisis data, sistem ilmu dan informasi, serta aspek lainnya dalam desain dan evaluasi sistem intelejensi otomatis.
2. Software Dependability and IT Security, yang meliputi variasi aspek ketergantungan perangkat lunak (software) dan keamanan komputer. Program kuliah meliputi workshops dalam hal keamanan jaringan, pemograman yang aman, dan konstruksi perangkat lunak yang bertujuan membangun kemampuan dalam pengembangan software dan keamanan komputer.
3. Information Systems and Statistical Analysis, meliputi berbagai aspek tentang desain dan evaluasi dalam bidang sistem ilmu dan informasi, sistem intelejensia, dan analisis data yang didukung oleh metode statistik.

Untuk melamar program beasiswa berdurasi dua tahun ini, Anda haruslah memiliki gelar sarjana Ilmu Komputer atau yang berkaitan dengannya seperti Teknik Komputer, Teknik Elektro, Matematika, Statistika, Fisika, dsb. Pelamar juga harus memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris yang baik, dibuktikan dengan sertifikat tes kemampuan bahasa Inggris.

Pelamar dapat meminta pre-evaluasi online (www.unive.it/evaluation) kepada Unive tentang kualifikasi dan rekam akademik mereka sebelum melamar program ini secara resmi. Hanya mereka yang lulus tahap ini sebelum 31 Mei 2013-lah yang dapat meraih beasiswa internasional.

Prosedur pre-evaluasi ini sangatlah penting bagi non-warga negara Uni Eropa. Sebaiknya, tahap ini dilakukan jauh sebelum tenggat waktu, yakni 31 Mei 2013 tiba. Para pelamar yang telah mendapat surat penerimaan harus segera memasukkan berkas pendaftaran kuliah mereka ke Kedutaan Besar Italia di negara masing-masing. Tahapan ini dilakukan untuk melengkapi berkas resmi ke kampus, dan untuk memulai proses permintaan visa pelajar di Italia.

Technical training focuses on the range of opportunities created by new tools and technologies from a business and productivity perspective; success factors and opportunities for entrepreneurship; methodologies for improved efficiency and effectiveness; and models and best practices in micro-credit, marketing, social entrepreneurship, etc.



Post-Workshop Support ~ We are committed to supporting its alumni beyond the workshop setting as they apply new skills and knowledge to strengthen their organizations and programs and build the business and leadership competencies of women in their communities.  Following GWIM, participants are invited to participate in the Alumni Coaching Program.  Each graduate is matched with a trained coach for a structured and guided year-long coaching relationship.  The coaching provides participants with technical guidance and resources to strengthen economic projects and activities, as well as professional support for issues related to supervision, career planning, fundraising, etc. We monitor the entire coaching experience and evaluate the program and its outcomes at the end of the year.  In addition, we sustain on-going relationships with alumni through its alumni network, participation in international and regional meetings and through professional consultancies.
