Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Program at St. George’s University, USA

Academically gifted students with limited resources deserve the ability to reach their potential.  SGU recognizes this, and that’s why 60 full-tuition scholarships will be awarded to Commonwealth citizens under the St. George’s University, Grenada, Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Program, commemorating the 60 years of the Queens reign as the Head of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Scholarships are available for the following programs:
This scholarship program seeks to make tertiary education possible for top scholars in Commonwealth countries who might otherwise be unable to attend university. Currently, 2,139 students from Commonwealth countries are studying at the University with 3,233 having graduated. 

Application deadlines (commencing with the August 2013 class) are June1 for the August class and November 1 for the January class.

A prospective scholarship candidate must be a resident citizen of a Commonwealth country, have been accepted to St. George’s University, and submit an essay detailing how this award will ultimately benefit the development of his/her country. The scholarship application and essay must be submitted by the following deadlines:

A Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Committee established by the University awards the scholarships. The scholarship funds tuition only.  Students must have a financial plan in place to fund living and travel expenses through their own personal resources or alternative funding sources.
